Tom Brady Shared Incredible Moment With Young Fan Who Beat Brain Cancer
    Bears With Offense
And Defense, 38-3
Tom Brady had a big day Sunday, but it may end up being even more memo- rable for one young Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.
The Buccaneers scored an easy 38-3 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, with Brady throwing four touchdown passes in the win. After the game, he spotted a young fan in the front row and let the fan keep his game- used hat.
That fan wasn’t chosen at random. During the game, he had been holding up a sign
him beat brain cancer. The interaction was enough to drive the young fan to tears.
Brady was asked about the moment after the game, praising the “tough kid” and adding that seeing it puts his football career in perspective.
It’s an awesome gesture from Brady and a moment that kid will never forget. It’s possible the quarterback might have given him more, but some of Brady’s equip- ment may be spoken for al- ready thanks to another fan interaction.
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers pulled away early and kept the Chicago Bears down late, by treating their home fans to a blowout victory, 38- 3.
Tom Brady tossed four touchdown passes, three of them to Mike Evans, as the Bucs did pretty much what- ever they wanted on offense in the first half. Leonard Four- nette and Ronald Jones, II both had their way with the Bears defense on the ground, as well, combining for 144 yards on just 25 carries.
Chris Godwin had his best game of the year so far, hauling in eight passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. Be- tween Evans and Godwin, Bucs fans didn’t even notice that Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski weren’t in

the lineup.
The defense made life mis-
erable for Bears rookie quar- terback Justin Fields, sacking the first-round pick four times and forcing five turnovers. Jason Pierre- Paul, Shaq Barrett and Antoine Winfield, Jr. each had a strip-sack, while Dee Delaney and Pierre Desir each grabbed a pick, stepping up for a banged-up secondary.

Patrick Mahomes was pulled in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game despite clearing the NFL's concus- sion protocol after taking a shot to the head because coach Andy Reid felt the Kansas City Chiefs' quarter- back needed a break.
It came to that in a 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Reid and Mahomes expect the quarterback to practice this week and play in next Monday night's game against the New York Giants.
But Mahomes and the Chiefs will find themselves in an unusual place, and not just because of their 3-4 record. The Titans game marked the first time in Ma- homes' career that he went without a touchdown in a regular-season game. Three points are the fewest for the Chiefs since Reid arrived in 2013.
Mahomes, who threw an interception and lost a fumble on Sunday, and the Chiefs are fighting through adversity for the first time in Mahomes' pro career.
"We have enough leaders on this team that we have to find a way," Mahomes said. "I don't know what that's going to take yet. We'll go in. We'll talk about it. We'll watch the film but I trust we'll find it. That's part of
leadership. That's what great teams are, being able to bat- tle through adversity. It's been kind of rainbows and flowers and awesome for these last few years. But whenever you want to build something substantial and you want to build something great, you're going to go through [times] like this.

The Tampa Bay Bucs fan who gave back Tom Brady's 600th career touch- down pass game ball missed a chance to cash in.
Sports memorabilia ex- perts told Yahoo Sports the prized ball is worth as much as a fleet of luxury cars or even a new house.
The ball could fetch “min- imum $500,000” at auction, Ken Goldin, founder and executive chairman of Goldin Auctions, said. Chris Ivy of Heritage Auctions echoed that valuation. Ezra Levine, CEO of the sports memora- bilia investment platform Collectible declared the ball worth "easily $500,000- plus" and probably "closer to $750,000."

of the visiting Chicago Bears. Mike Evans caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Brady to increase the Bucs’ lead to 21-0.
Either Evans was un- aware of the significance of the touchdown, or he experi- enced a temporary brain cramp. Evans gave a fan wearing his No. 13 jersey the game ball and the team had to negotiate to get it back.
