   After 12 Seasons In NBA,
Joins Houston Rockets'
  Coaching Staff
NBA journeyman and prolific dunker Gerald Green has announced his re- tirement after 12 seasons.
The former Houston Rockets wing will join the team's coaching staff as a player development coach, the team announced Friday.
Green, a native of Hous- ton, played two seasons for the Rockets before sitting out all of last season with a foot injury. He spent time with several different franchises after being drafted by the Boston Celtics with the No. 18 pick in the 2005 draft.
Green, 35, won the 2007 NBA dunk contest and came

Rajon Rondo Gives His Side Of Incident With Ejected Fan
RAJON RONDO
Rajon Rondo gave his side of the incident between him and a fan that resulted in an ejection.
Rondo’s Los Angeles Lak- ers lost on Friday night to the Phoenix Suns 115-105 at Sta- ples Center in Los Angeles. During the third quarter of the game, Rondo pointed at a fan sitting courtside and asked se- curity to remove the fan.
Rondo had his finger pointed very close to the fan’s face in a manner similar to the way one would point a gun. He even mimicked pulling the trig- ger a few times.
The fan didn’t like having Rondo’s finger pointed so close to his face and swatted it away.
Rondo on Saturday denied making a gun motion at the fan intentionally. The Lakers vet- eran did not disclose what was said between the two men. He said that he wanted the fan ejected.

The Uni-
versity of South Carolina Gamecocks coach signed a 7- year contract worth $22.4 mil- lion. This includes a base salary of $1 million per year, with out- side compensation starting at $1.9 million the first year and rising by $100,000 each sea- son, according to ESPN.
The Brooklyn Nets held their home opener against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday but not without experiencing some unexpected commotion first.
Prior to the afternoon tip- off at Barclays Center, a large group of protestors gathered outside of the arena to protest New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Nets guard Kyrie Irving, who is ineligi- ble to play in home games due to the mandates, became a rallying cry for the group. They could be heard chanting, “Let Kyrie play.”
Kyrie Irving Removed By The League As One Of The Top 75 Players
One of the most notable snubs from the NBA's 'Top 75' players list was Kyrie Irv- ing, a 7x All-Star and Cham- pion who is widely considered the greatest ball-handler in

players list. Apparently, he actually was at some point. According to the investigation of one Twitter user, who discovered some deleted articles, Irving was originally included in the Top 75 before being replaced. While there could be other explanations, fans have sug- gested that the NBA elected to replace Irving in light of his current stance on COVID-19 protocols. With the league being in full support of man- dates and vaccination en- forcement, Kyrie is obviously spreading an ideology they do
After months of trade ru- mors surrounding Deshaun Watson, the Houston Texans Pro Bowl quarterback might finally be heading to Miami.
NFL reporter Mark Berman of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are working on a po- tential trade with the Dol- phins, and that could be completed as early as this week.
“Texans are working to- ward a potential deal that would send Deshaun Wat- son to the Miami Dolphins that could get done this week,” Berman tweeted. “If not this week they still hope they can get it done before the Nov. 2 trade deadline.”
The news arrives just two months after it was an- nounced that a Texas grand jury would reportedly con- sider criminal charges against Watson, who is accused of multiple allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.

Watson is accused of making inappropriate com- ments, exposing himself, and forcing a woman into oral sex. However, he has denied the accusations, claiming any sex- ual encounters with the mas- sage therapists were consensual.
