Zendaya Has Been Named The 2021 CFDA Fashion Icon
Snoop Dogg’s Mother Beverly Tate Dies
In the world of fashion, there are the perpetually styl- ish, and there are icons. To the surprise of virtually no one who’s kept an eye on the red carpet over the past few years, Zendaya falls in the latter category, serving a seemingly ceaseless series of stylistic slays that have only evolved along with career. The former Disney kid is now an A-list ac- tress and producer, in addi- tion to being a singer, model and occasional designer, hav- ing partnered with Tommy Hilfiger in 2019 to create a collaborative collection.
Now, all that dynamism is being recognized by the Coun- cil of Fashion Designers of America, which on Wednes- day announced Zendaya as the 2021 recipient of the Fash- ion Icon award, to be awarded at the annual CFDA Awards—
Snoop Dogg, 50, cap- tioned the photo: "Thank you god for giving me an angel for a mother," with emojis of hearts and a rose.
The Bones actor added: "Till We Meet Again."
In another Instagram post, the Training Day actor cap- tioned the photo: "Mama thank you for having me."
The two were pictured to- gether for a sweet embrace.
The rapper's father, Ver- nell, also confirmed the tragic news, according to TMZ.
The site reported that she had been hospitalized earlier in 2021.
