MOTHER VICTORIA MILLER LEWIS
Mother Victoria Miller Lewis of Tampa passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, April 24th, at 2 p. m. at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, with Rev- erend Larry L. Roundtree, II of New Mount Zion M. B. Church, officiating. Interment will fol- low in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are re- quired.
Mother Victoria Miller Lewis was a native of Tallahas- see, FL, born to the late David and Susie Miller-Brown. She at- tended Leon County Public Schools. After high school, she moved to Atlanta, GA, where she worked at Lerner’s Dress Shop, as well as Fulton County School System for over 5 years. Mother Lewis, then moved to Tampa, FL, where she met the love of her life, Mr. Otis Lewis. They were wed on Octo- ber 15, 1955 and were married for 56 years until his transi- tion on November 15, 2011.
Mother Lewis was intro- duced to Christ at an early age by her parents, and was a mem- ber of Rockhill M.B. Church in Tallahassee, FL. With her hus- band, she joined Mt. Olive M. B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. C. P. Epps, D.D., in the early 60’s. She be- came a member of Shiloh M. B. Church in Mulberry, FL under the leadership of her son, Pas- tor Alphonso Lewis in April of 2017. She continued to faith- fully serve God until her health began to fail. Upon her death, she was in the care of her grand- daughter, Ms. Trinika Lewis. She then went under Hospice care until it was no longer feasi- ble at home and she was moved to the Sun City Hospice House.
She was preceded in death
by: her husband of 56 years, Dea- con Otis Lewis; parents, David and Susie Miller; 2 sis- ters, Ollie Mae Pledge and Lillie Mae Bryant; 2 brothers, James and Rumeal Miller; and niece, Constance. Her family was her pride and joy.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: 2 sons, George Williams and Rev. Alphonso (An- gela) Lewis; 1 bonus daughter, Ann Mack of Albany, GA; 1 grand-daughter, Trinika Lewis; 2 great-grandchildren, Davani Beck and Damari John- son; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Porter of Homestead, FL and Faye Lewis of Tampa, FL; nieces, Patricia Lee (Raymond) of Tampa, FL, Tonya Jones (Vincent) of Miami, FL, Jacqueline Lewis and Renee Lewis of Al- bany, GA; Sherell Lewis, Elaine Lewis and Shirley Lewis of Tampa, FL; nephews, Jimmie Hedgmon (Jackie) of Tallahas- see, FL, Booker T. Bryant, Jr. of Plant City, FL, Felix Ryals (Dorothy) of Miami, FL, Edward Porter of Miami, FL, Gary Lewis and Marion Lewis (Shaveyla) of Tampa, FL; a host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and other family; god- children, Cynthia Thomas and Victoria Pittman; special inher- ited grand-children, Journi Cobb and Messiah Tice; special family and friends, Sis. Ms. Kanasia Danielle John- son of Tampa passed away Sun- day, April 11, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, April 24 at 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Kanasia Danielle John- son was a native of Roanoke, Virginia and a resident of Tampa for many years. She last attended North Marion High School.
She leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Veronica Johnson and Ishmael Hedd of Elkridge, Maryland; her 3-year- old son, Malachi; and one-year- old daughter, Brinae; several siblings; nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of other rela- tives and friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday, April 24 (1–2 p. m.) at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.

MR. ANTHONY EUGENE JONES
Mr. Anthony Eugene Jones of Tampa, FL passed away on Sat- urday, April 10, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 24 at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Pas- tor Carolyn Riggins, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are re- quired.
Mr. Anthony Eugene Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, born to Ms. Vila Jones and Mr. Johnny Arm- strong. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Tampa Bay Technical High School, Class of 1977. Mr. Jones was a wrestler and football ath- lete at Tampa Bay Tech, which led to him trying out for the Tampa Bay Bucs in 1978. He earned an Associate Degree in education from Hillsborough Community College, Class of 1987. Anthony was employed with School District of Hillsbor- ough County as an Autobody In- structor for 22 years. He also managed Club Manilla for 15 years.
On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Anthony was called home to join his beloved wife, Cheryl L. Jones and his parents, Vila Jones and Johnny Armstrong.
He leaves to cherish his lov- ing memories with: a devoted daughter, Ms. Ztoria Jones (Sampson); granddaughters, Mauricia Nolen and ZaMaria Ming; brothers, Pierre Jones (Angela) and Delano Armstrong (Donnalisa); sisters, Catherine Jones and Nicole Gyden (Clarence); favorite nephews, Christopher Williams (Meredes), Lamar Williams and (Trelice); godson, Shondrae; lifelong friends, Deacon Teddy Glenn (best friend), Jeffrey Jones, Em- mett Nelson, Rufus Ford, and Tajar (Brigitte) Ray; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. It would cause a BIG void in An- thony’s heart to miss naming any person. However, space is inad- equate to name every family member and friend who was a part of his life. Therefore, every- one who has alphabets from A to Z in their name is now acknowl- edged here.
The remains will repose from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
