Dr. Sharon Andrews Gray ... Appointed to Saint Leo University Board of Trustees
cited and honored to be named to the Saint Leo Board of Trustees and the Saint Leo family”
Although she has had no previous connection to the university, Dr. Andrews
Gray’s extensive work with veterans at the James A. Haley Veteran Affairs Hospi- tal dovetails with Saint Leo’s work with veterans.
Dr. Andrews Gray be- lieves this appointment is a major step forward to bring more diversity to the Board of Trustees. Ed Narain was previously the only African American person on the 28- member board. Her term is from 2021 to 2024.
Dr. Andrews Gray be- lieves she can bring a new perspective to the board. She is looking forward to chal- lenging the university when it comes to reaching African American and Latino veter- ans.
Dr. Andrews Gray lives in South Tampa with her husband, Stanley. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorpo- rated, The Links, Incorpo- rated, National Medical Association, and WE CARE Committee for the University of South Florida.
