On August 15th, the show starts at 9 p.m., and ends at 2 a.m. Peacock will celebrate his 51st birthday the fol- lowing day, August 16th. Those in at- tendance will enjoy performances by Peacock Hardrick, aka Crazy Mary from College Hill; Swan- nee, aka Hamhock Jones; Crim Diggla aka Thot Whisper; Lonnie the Wino, aka Lomo the Wino; Demetrius aka Willameena; and others.
Santana Miller will serve as the host and DJ Gran Evil will provide the music.
A longtime Tampa resident, Pea- cock has been quiet for several years. This is his return to the stage and to Tampa. “This is where it all started for me, right here in Tampa. This is my second opportunity to make it.
“I know that Tampa has a lot of talent, but you won’t reach your goals with guns. You have to put the guns down,” he said.
The popular comedian said, “It ain’t easy being me from Tampa Bay, but I finally made it. The mes- sage I want to send to others is you can’t quit, you have got to keep going and don’t give up.
“I’ve been to prison 5 times, spent 18 years there. I have been some of everywhere, drugs, I came from a bro- ken home and I’m a product of the projects. But, I never gave up. I kept
my dream alive. I believe everyone has a special talent, you just have to find out what it is and pursue it, you can’t give up.”
Many residents may remember Peacock as part of the It’s A Bomb recording company. He wants every- one to know that It's A Bomb is not dead and is on the way back.
