CDC Of Tampa Celebrates National Homeownership Month By Hosting Ribbon Cutting For 2 Newly Constructed Homes
On June 29, 2021, the CDC of Tampa, along with Mayor Jane Castor, held the ribbon cutting of 2 newly constructed homes at 2205 Emma Street and 2209 Emma Street.
Ernest Coney, CDC Ex- ecutive Director, said: “De- spite the pandemic, people are still moving forward, looking forward to achieving their dream of homeowner- ship. The communities of Tampa are resilient, and the CDC of Tampa will continue its work of empowering fam- ilies and young people to achieve their dreams.”
In June 2002, President George W. Bush declared June as National Homeown- ership Month, and the CDC of Tampa celebrated this year by having a ribbon cutting for two affordable houses they recently constructed. These houses pave the way for two families to pursue their desire of security, health and happi- ness for their families.
