Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes Make Forbes’ List Of Most Powerful Women In Entertainment
OPRAH WINFREY, BEYONCE, SHONDA RHIMES
Nick Cannon Unearths Homophobic Tweets From Sarah
It looks like a few of our fa- vorite ladies are also the most powerful women in the game, according to Forbes’ recently released list of the most pow- erful women in the entertain- ment.
Oprah Winfrey came in at No.1 on the list, and Bey- once isn’t far behind her at No. 6. Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes made the cut at No. 12 (a little slow for the highest-paid showrunner in Tinseltown), and Serena Williams landed at No. 14. Priyanka Chopra rounded out the list at No. 16.
Rhimes has been open about knowing her worth and continues to wield her power for the good of those following in her footsteps. “We are pow- erful women and when we say we have power, what we are really saying is that we deserve to have power. We deserve whatever good thing it is that we are getting,” she said
at Elle’s 25th annual Women in Hollywood celebration. “De- manding what you deserve can feel like a radical act.”
She shows no signs of slow- ing down with eight projects in the works at Netflix under her production company, Shonda- land.
Beyonce continues to slay in any arena she enters and her last tour (On The Run II) grossed over $250 million for Bey and her hubby, Jay-Z, who brought their three chil- dren on the road with them for their 4-month, 48-city jaunt across the world.
The tour kicked off in Wales in June and wrapped in Seat- tle on October 4, selling more than 2 million tickets world- wide.
According to Variety, their most lucrative stop was in At- lanta where they raked in $14.1 million during their two-night stint at ATL’s Mercedes-Benz stadium.
After comedic actor Kevin Hart stepped down from his Oscars hosting job because of past homophobic comments, Nick Cannon evidently got to work. On Friday (December 7), the Wild ‘N Out star unearthed three controversial tweets from comedians Chelsea Handler, Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer.
He was questioning why Hart received so much back- lash when Handler, Silver- man and Schumer never caught any flak for their com- ments. In fact, they have all gone on to have undeniably successful careers.
“Interesting,” Cannon wrote alongside Handler’s 2010 “fag bird” tweet. “I won-

der if there was any backlash here.”
Similarly, Cannon re- tweeted a 2010 tweet from Sil- verman which read: “I don’t mean this in a hateful way but
the new bachelorette’s a fag- got.” He then tacked one on from Schumer who tweeted in 2012, “Enjoy skyfall fags. I’m bout to get knee deep in Helen Hunt. #thesessions.”
When challenged by a Twitter user to “audit’ his own tweets, Cannon took respon- sibility for any of his past re- marks and insisted he only speaks the truth.
“Nope!!” he wrote. “You know I’ve been saying f*&ked up sh*t since twitter started! I don’t play that politically cor- rect bullsh*t! F*&k politics!! Only truth!”
Hart was expected to host the ceremony in February. An alternate host hasn’t been an- nounced.
50 Cent, Starz CEO Detail $150 Million Deal, 'Power' Spinoffs
50 Cent continues to flour- ish as a television producer as he spilled the tea to Business Insider during their Ignition conference this week on some projects he has coming in rela- tion to his hit series Power.
In a sit-down interview, 50 along with Starz's CEO Chris Albrecht, told moderator Nathan McAlone that al- though he'll no longer appear on the Omari Hardwick- headed show, he'll be bringing three spin-offs from the show into on-air fruition.
One of the spin-offs will be a prequel revolving around
50 CENT
50's slain character Kanan.
Meanwhile, all three spin-offs
will be moving simultaneously, according to Albrecht.
"The prequel is my spin-off. I get the chance to come back. I'm dead," 50 said. "It's cool, though. It gives the chance to show the world where all of these characters grew in so you can see the defining moments that developed their imperfec- tions that people are attracted to at the moment. It's exciting. It's TGE, the golden era."
Albrecht chimed in on 50's announcement, saying, "I'm happy to have them all work, but we're determined to have at least one.”

The Guardian wrote that Banton would be the “most eagerly awaited arrival in Ja-
maica since Ethiopia’s Em- peror Haile Selassie touched down in April 1966.”
The Grammy award-win- ning icon was convicted in a Tampa courtroom in 2011 on federal drug charges and sen- tenced to 10 years imprison- ment. He was reportedly the target of an undercover federal informant for more than a year. Prosecutors required two trials to convict the Dancehall star. His initial release date was February 2019, but was later revised to December 8, 2018.
