An unidentified man died Saturday afternoon in a mo- bile home fire in the 100 block of E. Linebaugh Avenue.
According to a spokesman for the Tampa Fire Depart- ment, firefighters responded to the location around 4:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found flames coming from the single-wide mobile unit.
They learned that a neigh- bor suffered minor injuries after he attempted to rescue
the man inside. However, he was not successful. The neigh- bor was transported to Tampa General Hospital.
Once firemen brought the fire under control, they dis- covered the body of a man in his sixties dead inside the mo- bile home. His identification was not released pending the notification of his next of kin.
The spokesman said the fire does not appear to be sus- picious.
