Nine men were taken into custody early Tuesday. They are said to be members of a violent street gang.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, the men are members of the 200 Skudda Gang. The roundup was the re- sult of a joint two-year investi- gation.
They are facing charges ranging from murder to credit card fraud, racketeering, drug sales and identity theft.
The investigation involved the Tampa Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, in partner- ship with the Florida Office of the Attorney General.
The 200 Skudda Gang operated within the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County, as well as Conyers County, Georgia. They committed fraud throughout the United States, involving hundreds of victims, police said.
The investigation into the 200 Skudda Gang began in May of 2017. The gang was in- volved in and responsible for numerous shootings, including a homicide in Tampa in 2016.

The gang members were arrested and successfully prosecuted by Hillsborough County State At- torney’s Office and are currently serving prison time.
As detectives investigated the shootings, they discovered numerous cases of fraud involv- ing members of the gang. Gang members conspired to commit acts of witness intimidation dur- ing open cases, credit card fraud, identity theft, criminal possession of personal identifi- cation information, personal use of fraudulent identification, wire fraud, purchases of firearms by convicted felons, il- legal narcotic sales and delivery of narcotics.
