MRS. ELOIS HANDY
Mrs. Elois Handy of Tampa, passed away, Monday, August 12, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 24th, at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memo- rial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, with Elder Larry Troupe, Sr., of Universal Church of the Harvest Church of God in Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Elois Handy was a native of Ousley District, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for 78 years. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a member of New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Handy was employed as a Presser at Deluxe Cleaners. She was the last surviving sibling of 11 children.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Johnny Handy; par- ents, Mack and Carrie Williams; son, Luther Williams; six sisters; four brothers; and two nephews, James Troupe, Jr. and Leon Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Kenneth Williams and Thaddeus McCarther, both of Tampa, FL; granddaughters, Brid- gett Vaughn and Latasha Williams; 7 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Johnnie Mae Spencer; spiritual sister, Mother Margaret Troupe; a loving niece and caregiver, Sharon Troupe of Tampa, FL; nieces, Lorrene Mur- ray (John) of Phoenix, AZ, Car- olyn Brooks (Williams), Ann Williams, Linda Barr, Betty Collins (Leavelle), Patricia Hines, Janice Whitening, Cassandra Reed (Curtis), Sylvia Thompson, all of Tampa, FL; nephews, Elder Larry Troupe, Sr. (Rose), James Troupe, III (Minnie) and Douglas Troupe, all of Tampa, FL; brother- in-law, Dazzie Calloway; special friends, Deacon Albert and Owe- dia Walker, Mrs. Camel Blendina and Mrs. Naomi Perry; a host of great nieces and great nephews; other sorrowing relatives and friends. The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, August 23rd at Ray Williams Funeral Home.

MRS. BESSIE MAE JONES
Mrs. Bessie Mae Jones, 96, of Tampa, passed away at her daughter’s home in Tampa, sur- rounded by family on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 24th, at 2 p. m. at Friendship Missionary Bap- tist Church, 4301 W. Cypress St., Tampa, Florida, 33607, with Pas- tor Frank Watson, Jr., officiat- ing. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Ave., Tampa, Florida, 33610.
Mrs. Bessie Mae Jones was born in Quitman, Georgia, later relocating, in the 1930s, to the Tampa Bay Area. Mrs. Jones re- tired from the Hillsborough County School District after hav- ing served many years in food service.
She is survived by: her loving daughter, Mercedes Twiggs Red- dick; grandchildren, great-grand- children, and a host of other relatives and friends.

MS. GEORGIA MAE ‘G’ JOHNSON
Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Georgia Mae “G” Johnson, who passed on August 4, 2019, will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 2 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. James E. Richardson, officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa.
Ms. Georgia Mae Johnson was born in Vienna (Dooly County), Georgia on February 9, 1948, to the union of Mr.
Leroy Johnson, Jr. and Mrs. Mary Ann White Johnson. Geor- gia came to Tampa, in February 1958 with her mother and sib- lings. She resided here until her demise on August 4, 2019 at Tampa General Hospital.
Georgia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 17. She was educated in the public school system of Hillsborough County, graduat- ing from Howard W. Blake Sen- ior High School, Class of 1967. Ms. Johnson worked for the Hillsborough County Hospital as a Dietary Aide for eight years. She later transferred to Tampa General Hospital, where she was hired as a Production Cook. Georgia retired on June 20, 2013 after 45 years of dedicated serv- ice.
Georgia was preceded in death by: her daughter, Sherrell D. Moore; father, Leroy John- son, Jr.; mother, Mary Ann White-Johnson; brothers, Arthur James Johnson and Lester Rogers.
Georgia leaves to celebrate her life and homegoing with: her
sons, Desmond Bryant Lucas (Portia) and Terrell Dennard Moore (Julia); grandchildren, Tamia Lucas, Terrell More, Jr., Tiara Johnson, Terria Johnson, Tennerell Stephens, all of At- lanta, Shantavia Watson, William Melvin, Jamesia Burton and James B. MS. FRANCES GENELL McCANTS- WILLIAMS
Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Frances Genell McCants- Williams, who passed on August 13, 2019, will be held on Satur- day, August 24, 2019 at 2 p. m. at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street Tampa, Florida, 33605, with Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Pastor, and Rev. Lorenzo Mag- wood, eulogist. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, Florida 33610.
Frances “Genell” McCants- Williams was born January 3, 1933 to Frances Dozier and James McCants in Fairfax, Ala- bama. She moved to Tampa, Florida at an early age and worked for Gordon Kelly School of Nursing. She was a devoted member of Allen Temple A. M. E. Church until her illness, and she served on the Silent Worker and Lay Organization.
Our mother was the eldest of 7 sisters and brother and a “True Sister in Christ” to Mrs. JoAnn Daniels. She gave birth to 6 chil- dren and was a mother figure to many more.
Our beloved mother, Frances “Genell” McCants-Williams was preceded in death by: her par- ents, Frances A. Dozier and James McCants; grandparents, Lelia and Jim Dozier; brother, Calvin McCants; sisters, Lelia Mae Mathis, Flora Bell Brown, sister in Christ, JoAnn Daniels and many more.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: her children, Benjamin Williams, Frances “Elizabeth” Williams, Christine Williams, LaWanda “Genell” Buchanan, Danny Goodwin (Neicy) and Cheriese Carr (De- wayne); mother figure to, Harolyn Daniels, Mercella Daniels-Oliver (Thony), Kenny and Alvin Monroe; grandchil- dren, Benjamin, Jr., Dontae, Chauncey, Destiny, Cory, Carla, Frederick, Marquise, Kenta, Quintin, Julius, Danny, Jr., Amoni, Imani, Xavier, Jayden and Trenton; 13 great grandchil- dren; sisters, Maxine, Vikki and Ella McCants; sister-in-law, Lula McCants of Chicago; nieces, Tammy, Lisa of Chicago, Valarie, Vanessa, Doreen and Dede; nephews, Delado and Andre of Chicago, Derrick, Anthony, Terry and Dario; a host of other great nieces, great nephews and family members; friends and neigh- bors, Janie Knox, Ruthie Lewis, Charlene Parker and a host of others whom our mother loved and adored.
