Author Leaves Children Smiling With New Book
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
January 22nd of this year was an important day for Ms. Charlotte Grant. It was the day that her first book was released to the public.
Entitled “The Land of ... Do As You Please,” the book provides a different prospective to what hap- pens when children “do as you please.” Instead of just telling a story, Ms. Grant uses lyrical rhymes to convey the message. However, it is written on a level that even kindergarteners can compre- hend and apply the message.
The book is also complete with color renditions of children as they learn how decisions that are not well thought out can have a different out- come than planned.
Ms. Grant will host a book sign- ing on Sunday, February 18th, at Mount Calvary Seventh Day Adven- tist Church, 3920 E. Osborne Av- enue. The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.
