RAY WILLIAMS
EVANGELIST DARRYL EVAN BEASLEY
Evangelist Darryl Evan Beasley of Ruskin, FL, passed away, Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Funeral services will be con- ducted, Saturday, July 27, at 11 a. m. at Bell Shoals Church of Christ, 2908 Bell Shoals Road, Brandon 33511, with Evangelist Benjamin F. Daniels, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Evangelist Beasley was a na- tive of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a resident of Tampa for 17 years. He attended and graduated from Boyd Anderson High School; Southwestern Christian College, where he earned an Associate Sci- ence degree in Bible Studies; Tuskegee University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work and a Master’s of Education.
Darryl, served as the Evangel- ist at the Highland Avenue Church of Christ in Tampa for 17 years, was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Tau Phi Kappa. He has been an educator for 30 years, serving 8 years in the Alabama School district and 22 years in the Hillsborough County Public School District. He was a School Counselor at Hillsborough High, Jefferson High and Stewart Middle Magnet School where he sponsored the GENTS Club.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jim Beasley, Sr. and Adell Beasley; and brother, Harold Holloman.
He leaves cherished memories with: his loving and devoted wife, Michele Beasley of 20 years; son, Jaycen Beasley; sister, Sharon Ann (Willie) Berrian; brothers, Jim, Jr. (Marjorie), Jeffrey, Michael, Doyle, Barrie, and Brian (Katrina) Beasley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, students, and the Highland Av- enue Church of Christ family.
The remains will repose and the family will receive friends from6p.m.to8p.m.Friday,July 26 at the Highland Avenue Church of Christ, 2800 N. Highland Av- enue, Tampa 33602.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at Bell Shoals Church of Christ on Saturday morning for the service.

MRS. LOUISE BROWN
Mrs. Louise Brown of Tampa passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. Her Homegoing Celebration of Life and Love will be conducted Saturday, July 27th, at 2 p. m. at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, with Pastor T. D. Leonard, offi- ciant and eulogist. Interment will be held Monday, July 29th at 11:30 a. m. at Florida National Ceme- tery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513, where Mrs. Brown will be buried alongside her devoted husband, the late Mr. Atkin Brown, Sr.
Mrs. Brown was born in Live Oak, FL to Mr. Vandora Jones and Mrs. Neila Benton. Her devoted and loving grandmother, Pearlie Lee Jones, raised her, and led her to Christ, and at an early age, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior.
Mrs. Brown attended the pub- lic schools of Suwanee County, FL. It was there, at high school, that she met Mr. Atkin Brown, Sr. They soon married and began their 67- year journey of love and devotion. To this union five children were born, and two godchildren were received and loved.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved their family to Tampa, FL, and set- tled in the West Tampa commu- nity. Mrs. Brown retired after 32 years of service with the Helping Hand Day Nursery. Her beautiful spirit blessed so many children and families during that time. After retirement, Mrs. Brown con- tinued to love, support and care for her family....and bake! Many people will fondly remember Mrs. Louise Brown for her delightful cakes and desserts.
Mrs. Brown leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Clif- ford Brown, Sr., Annis Brown Fos- ter, Veronica Brown, Atkin Brown, Jr., Felicia Brown-Vickers (Daryl), Yolanda Archie and Mar- vin Knight; her beloved brother, Curtis Powell; her grands, great- grands and great-great grandchil- dren; special cousins and her entire community of friends and neighbors.

MRS. MAYME HARRIS HARGRETT
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mayme Harris Hargrett, who transitioned on Sunday, July 21, 2019 in a local healthcare facility, will held on Saturday, July 26th, at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, 2101 Lowe St., at 2 p. m. with Reverend Dwayne Gaddis, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Mayme Harris Hargrett was born September 28, 1916 to the late James Harris and Edith Ganzy Harris. She was born in a Hamlet in Jefferson County, Florida called Lamont, Florida, on the Aucilla River (twenty-three miles south of Tallahassee, Florida. She moved to Tampa when she was two years old and has been a resident of Tampa for the last 100 years. She attended Hosley Temple, Harlem and Lomax Schools and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School (Class of 1934) and Florida Agricultural & Mechanical College graduate with a B. A. degree in English and Physical Education. She also matriculated studies at Hampton Institute and Tennessee State College.
Mrs. Mayme Harris Hargrett was initiated into the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter in 1977. She served on the Sophisticated Sep- tember Hostess Group and served on numerous committees. She helped wherever and whenever needed and was always pleasant. In addition to her involvement in the local chapter, she helped and participated in the South Atlantic Regional in 1978 in Tampa, Florida and has been a member for 42 years. She was also a faithful member of the Ladies Guild at St. Paul A. M. E. Church, Les Quinzes
Social Club and Tripoli Club.
Mrs. Mayme Harris Hargrett, in 1949 along with her husband the late James T. Hargrett, Sr., founded and operated the largest and only Black-owned chain Su- permarket in the State of Florida until its sale in 1959. The name of the business was Hargrett’s IGA Super Market (a member of the In- dependent Grocers Alliance). The business was located at 2409 E. Lake Avenue where the Hargrett family lived above the store across from College Hill Homes. Mayme Harris Hargrett, along with her husband through Hargrett’s IGA supermarket, helped many Bel- mont Heights activities, including the co-founding and supporting of the Belmont Heights Little League. She was also the Hillsborough County African American “Wall of Fame” recipient from West Coast Rattlers Club of Florida A & M Uni- versity. She was the first women’s basketball coach at Middleton Sen-
ior High School during the 1940s. As a beloved mother and faith- ful believer, she leaves to cherish her memory: son, Senator James T. Hargrett Jr. (Berlyn); grand- daughter, Crystal Hargrett John- son (Ray); grandson, James T. Hargrett, III (Toyin); five great granddaughters, Ava Hargrett, Payton Johnson, Symone Har- grett, Noelle Johnson and Lauryn Hargrett; niece, Barbara D. White; great niece, Carla White Sunday (Tyvan); cousins, Edythe H. Hunter of Winter Haven, FL, Josephine Austin (Robert) of Bar- tow, FL, Alvilda H. Graham of Winter Haven, FL, George M. Greenlee (Ann Marie) and Wilbur H. Greenlee, Bringier R. Tims (Jennifer) of Lake Worth, FL, Joycelyn Tims, Glennis Holmes of Winter Haven, FL, and Claudette Dula, of St. Petersburg, FL; and a host of grandnephews, grand- nieces, cousins and other relatives

MR. MICHAEL MONROE
Mr. Michael Monroe of Bran- don, FL, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, July 27th, at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Boulevard, Dr. Sam Maxwell, Sen- ior Pastor, with Minister Terry Lee, Jr., officiating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Monroe was a graduate of Robinson High School and attended Peru State University. He was a member of the ILA International Longshoreman’s Association Local, 1402 of Tampa, FL.
