'Black-ish' Gets Order For 6 More Episodes By ABC
Jussie Smollett Is Making His Feature Directorial Debut
Despite the legal roller- coaster he’s experienced over the past year, it looks like Jussie Smollett won’t be counted out just yet.
According to Deadline, the 38-year-old actor is making his directorial debut with B- Boy Blues, based on the 1994 James Earl Hardy novel of the same name which chron- icles “the Black LGBTQ+/Same Gender Lov- ing community.” Smollett is also producing the film under his newly launched label Su- perMassive Movies.

ABC has given a six- episode back order to Black- ish. The pickup brings the order for the praised comedy to 21 episode, which consti- tutes a full season order, with a potential for more.
The back order comes two days after the seventh season premiere of, Black-ish, which also did an hourlong election special earlier this month.
For the first time since the launch of Black-ish, ABC left the Kenya Barris-created family comedy off the fall
schedule when the network announced its fall 2020 lineup in June. The series re- ceived a 15-episode midsea- son order.
Several days later, ABC moved Black-ish back to fall. At the time, on the heels of the nationwide Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd, the network said that after speak- ing to Barris, it decided that it was “important to tell these meaningful stories during this moment in time”.
Offset Detained By Police On Complaint From Trump Supporters
Cardi B and her on-again- off-again boo Offset were caught in the midst of rally of Trump supporters on the streets of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles on Saturday, and the confluence of the two groups ended with cops pulling Off- set out of his car and detain- ing him, on the complaint of someone on the street.
Videos posted by Cardi B on her Instagram story before Offset’s altercation with the police, show scores of white people walking and driving through Beverly Hills while toting Trump flags, Ameri- can flags, and even some fake guns.
“I don’t like this shit, look how they walking around with fake guns and covering their face,” Cardi says, while panning to the street full of MAGA devotees. “We gon’ get jumped, I really feel like we gon’ get jumped.”
OFFSET
Though it isn’t clear if Cardi and Offset were in the same vehicle, what actually ended up happening seemed to be a jumping of Offset via police, after one of the people on the street called in a report accusing the rapper of waving guns at them.
