don't feel sorry for Meghan Markle. Even after the former actress re- cently revealed to Oprah Winfrey how badly she was treated by the so-called "royal family," mainly due to her mixed heritage, I can't find one ounce of sympathy
for her.
The apathy I feel towards
her situation stems from the fact that she was warned ahead of time about what she could expect if she entered into a matrimonial union with the Prince of Wales. Her estranged father told her it wouldn't be easy, her future husband broke down the horrors his own mother, Princess Diana, went through and even Queen Elizabeth herself had a sit down with Meghan before the nuptials to make sure that she fully understood the gravity of what she was en- tering. And, in spite of all the red flags shown to her, she jumped the broom anyway.
Now, after three years, a move to the states and an ugly "Mexit" from England Ms. Markle wants the world to show her pity be-
cause of the pressure she en- dured in her role as a Duchess and the racism she experienced inside the palace because of her African-Amer- ican lineage. But, as I men- tioned earlier, it's hard for me to shed a tear for some- one who decided to ignore every caution sign in pursuit of what she believed would best serve her self interest.
If Meghan would have done her research she would have discovered that the House of Windsor is nothing more than a super-sized, Dixiesque plantation, whose residence speaks proper Eng- lish. Their legacy of mistreat- ment, oppression and disdain for people of color goes back over 800 years.
Due to their well docu- mented colonizing of places like Asia, Africa, Australia, several Caribbean islands and North America, the Brits have a long sordid track record of inhumanely treat- ing non-whites. And, as re- cently as 2018, Prince Harry's older brother, Prince William, was criti- cized for making a controver- sial suggestion at a seminar
addressing global warming when he stated that, "popula- tion control should be the world's number one priority and it should begin in East Africa."
Knowing their genocide- endorsing background, when it comes to indigenous popu- lations, the fact that Meghan's in-laws hold racist views and were con- cerned about the potential dark complexion of her child shouldn't be shocking to any- one. And, at least to me, it would be more surprising to find out that she wasn't aware of any of this shady history beforehand.
My heart goes out to any- one who enters a marriage blindly and then suffers un- expected consequences. But when that person knows bet- ter, and takes the leap any- way, my compassion is zero due to their hard-headed- ness.
Meghan Markle wanted to be a princess. She wanted to be a "royal." And, at the end of the day, she got every- thing she wanted along with lifetime financial security for herself and her child.
If it cost her a little bruis- ing of the ego and "Ni--- wake-up call" moment in the process, so be it. The rest of us are dealing with a whole lot worse.

     COVID-19 Is Real
One of our colleagues who just lost his son to COVID-19 asked that we urge our readers to wear masks, stand/sit 6-feet or more away from people who do not live with you, avoid gatherings for birth- days, weddings, and anniversaries, wash your hands frequently, and not gather in large groups.
The son, Erin Tokley, was a 6’4” healthy frontline worker who was too young to get a vaccine and whose profession had not been given shots.
The COVID-19 disease attacked his body for three weeks before giving a final salvo of a heart attack. In- variably, the disease took its toll on his liver, kidney, lungs and finally his heart. The viciousness of the dis- ease will render one victim’s body helpless, while only making another victim no sicker than a common cold.
It will ravage a perfectly healthy 21-year-old who will languish for weeks, while making a 61-year-old asthmatic woman only have a few coughs, no fever, or other illnesses. COVID-19 batters the heart, mind and soul of family members who watch the deterioration of their loved one. Losing a child traditionally is not part of the natural order of life and causes severe pain and is the slowest to heal.
Because of the history of the secret abuse of Black men and women in medical research on syphilis and in sterilization, Blacks have come to be suspicious of healthcare providers and any attempt to inject chemi- cals into our bodies. In spite of this history, we urge Black citizens to take advantage of the COVID-19 vac- cine.
COVID-19 is attracted to the blood types of Blacks, Asians and Latinos. Take the vaccine for your own per- sonal health as well as those you love. The trans- parency of vaccine sites and the vaccination of all ethnic groups and genders, it causes it to be unlikely that there is anything nefarious going on with the dis- tribution of the COVID vaccine.
Therefore, we have shared our colleague’s com- ments and encourage you to heed the protocol for safety measures against COVID-19. COVID-19 is real, it can kill the spirit of the family members of COVID-19 victims and can easily be avoided. Please don’t wait and end up living through the hell and loneliness caused by your failure to act on behalf of yourself and those you love.
