RAY WILLIAMS
MS. GLADYS L. WILCOX
Ms. Gladys L. Wilcox, of Wimauma Florida, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, November 21, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, December 1, at 1 p. m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel St., Wimauma, with Reverend Ikie Bunton, Pastor, officiating. In- terment will follow in the Wimauma Community Ceme- tery.
Gladys attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. She often assisted the teacher with the younger stu- dents in the classroom. She later began working in hospital- ity at the Sun City Inn. She also worked as a housekeeper in the Dental office for Dr. Gerald Is- abel.
Gladys was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the church secretary and an usher. She loved the Lord, as she would often say, “Thank God for Jesus!”
Gladys was preceded in death by: her father, Jake Lit- tles; mother, Lillie Allen; and step-father, Captain Allen; chil- dren, Gladys Louise Gay, Car- olyn Wilcox Rhodes, and Harold Glenn Wilcox; siblings, Doreatha Dorsey, Dorothy Matthews, Louvenia Bryant, Jesse Allen, Willie Allen, Samuel Allen, Nathan Allen, and Curtis Allen.
She is survived by: three of her children, Bernard Wilcox of Wimauma, FL, Joyce Wilcox of Tampa, and Cynthia Wilcox of Wimauma; special caregivers, Rotunda Wilcox (granddaugh- ter) and Twanya Cooper (grand- daughter); grandchildren, Randall Nelson (Denise), Mal- colm Wilcox (Tracy), Dwight Gay, Yolanda Gay, Traci Smith (Reginald), Jermaine Gay, Her- man Gay, III, Desarai Rhodes, Kattron Cofield (Joseph), Ger- ard Rhodes, Keesha Lee (Ting), Sharonda Rhodes, Somona Wilcox, Kasha Wilcox, Vonice Wilcox-Wright (Derrick), and Adrian Wilcox; sisters, Geneva Nelson (Raleigh), Nancy Nellon (Isaiah), and Ira Allen; special nieces and nephews, Minnie Hammond, Phyllis Matthews, Cliff Matthews, and Vivian Henry (Ray); a host of a great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. on Friday, Novem- ber 30, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL.

as a Payroll Supervisor for the De- partment of Parks and Recre- ation, in New York. Joan retired after 25 years of service in 1998. She continued her education from the College of New Rochelle and obtained a Bachelor of Arts De- gree in 1983.
After retirement, she relo- cated to Brandon, Florida, where she resided until her departure.
Joan, through her lifetime, was a devoted wife, an awesome mother, loving grandmother, and the most excellent homemaker, ever. She was a fantastic cook. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings with family and friends. Joan was quiet, but she always had the most beautiful smile on her face. She uttered few words that spoke vol- umes. Joan was religious and rather than retaliate to adversi- ties, Joan took every haps and mishaps to God in prayer and would always say, “it is all in God’s hands.” Joan took every- thing to God and is peaceably rest- ing in God’s everlasting arms.
Joan was preceded in death by: her parents, Eudora Barnett and Seymour Neblett; and her daughter, Vivian Copeland.
Joan leaves to mourn: her husband, Frank Thomas Dickens, Sr.; 2 daughters, Renita Dickens Thompson (Allen), and Sonia Dickens; one son, Frank T. Dick- ens, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Briana Copeland, Claudius Clacken, Christopher Seepersand, Ethan Thompson, Joshua Dickens, Justin Cleveland, and Brandon Cleveland; 11 brothers, Victory Murray (Jean, deceased), Dalton Barnett (Joyce), Charles Leroy Barnett, Macdonald Barnett, Jr. (Anna), Claude Neblett (Pamela), Curtis Neblett, St. Eval Neblett (Stephanie), Edgar Neblett (Mar- garet), Elkin Neblett (Janice), Charles Neblett (Harriett), Ver- non Neblett; 4 sisters, Carlisle Murray Howard (David, de- ceased), Cora Barnett, Marcelle Brown (Henry), and Pamela Cal- lender; 3 special friends, Kathy Harris, Noreen Gasby, and

SISTER VIRGINIA SCONIERS GUILFORD
Homegoing Celebration for Sister Virginia Sconiers Guil- ford, who passed on Monday, November 26, 2018, will be held on Saturday December 1, 2018, at 1 p. m. at First Baptist Church Of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Tampa, with Dr. Sam Maxwell, Senior Teaching Pastor officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Virginia Guilford was born November 3, 1937 in Geneva County Alabama to Marrell and Catheria Sconiers. She at- tended Bellwood High School in Bellwood, Alabama. She married her high school sweet- heart, Charles Guilford on De- cember 25, 1953 at the age of 16.
In March of 1954, Virginia Guilford relocated with her family to Tampa. She gained employment with the Hillsbor- ough County School System. Her profession was in the food service department for nine years.
In 1960, Virginia became a member of First Baptist Church of Progress Village and later joined the choir. She was very dedicated to her church until she became ill.
Virginia was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles Guilford and three daughters, Barbara S. Guilford, Charlene Williams and Linda F. Eddie; father and mother, Marrell and Catheria Sconiers and son- in-law, Curtis Carter.
Virginia leaves to cherish precious memories of her with: 3 daughters, Geraldine Carter, Virginlene McDaniel (Oscar), Cathy Galloway-Ja- cobs (Rolando) and one adopted daughter, Francesca Guilford. She also raised Francesco Bradshaw (Tori), Johayward Bradshaw, Stevon Guilford and Shanna Warfield; 14 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; 3 siblings, Anne Chapman and Patricia Griffin of AL and Catherine Butler of Tampa, 2 forever sons-in-law; Lenoris Eddie and James Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday November 30, 2018, from 5 – 7 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village.

MRS. JOAN EIRENE DICKENS
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Joan Eirene Dickens of Tampa, Florida, who passed away Novem- ber 18, 2018, will be held on Fri- day, November 30th, 2 p. m., at New St. Matthew Missionary Bap- tist Church, 1006 S., 50th St., Tampa, Rev. Alec Hall, Pastor, Rev. Alphonso Lewis, officiating. Interment will be in Donal- sonville, GA.
Mrs. Joan Eirene Dickens (nee, Murray), was born on March 3, 1941, to the late Seymour Neblett and Eudora Louise Bar- nett (nee, Murray).
Joan was raised by her mater- nal grandmother, the late Elmira Murray, in Barbados, West Indies, after her mother migrated to the USA.
Joan attended the Roman Catholic High School. She also at- tended college during the evening to study shorthand and typing.
At the age of 16, Joan’s mother brought her to the Uniterd States, where she continued her educa- tion at Morris High School in the Bronx, New York. She graduated in June 1962.
Joan took a fulltime job at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell Division. This is where she met her husband, Mr. Frank Thomas Dickens of 53 years. Dur- ing this marriage, Joan and Frank welcomed four children – the late Vivian Copeland, Renita Thomp- son, Frank Dickens, Jr. and Sonia Dickens. It was during this time she became a domestic engineer, staying home to raise her chil- dren.

MR. FRANK ‘PREACHER’ CRUM, SR.
Funeral service for Mr. Frank “Preacher” Crum, Sr., who the Lord called home on Monday, November 26, 2018, will be held on Saturday Decem- ber 1, 2018, at 2 p. m. at Exciting Faith Alive, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Antonio Hawkins, with Elder Willis Crum, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Frank Crum, Sr. was born on July 13, 1938 in Evergreen, Ala- bama to the late Reverend Ridgeway and Pearlie Mae Crum. He was one of twelve chil- dren.
In 1949, Frank moved from Alabama to Monticello, Florida with his siblings. They soon joined Welaunee Missionary Baptist Church. Frank attended schools throughout Jefferson County, Florida.
In 1956, Frank, along with his brother George, moved to Tampa, in search of better op- portunities. Frank went to work at the Port of Tampa as a Steve- dore with the International Longshoreman Association (ILA) Local 1402.
Frank was a true family man. He was the father of twelve chil- dren. He raised each one of his children to value hard work and to understand the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. Frank never turned his back on a mem- ber of his family and did every- thing in his power to help those in need of assistance.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Ridgeway and Pearlie Mae (Ewing) Crum; sisters, Irene Banks, Missionary Naomi Banks, and Pearline Jones; brothers, Levy Crum, James Crum, Rev. Willis Crum, Sr., Pastor William Crum, Ben- jamin Crum, and George Crum, Sr.
Frank leaves: his sister, Ocie B. Gant (Bueary) to cherish lov- ing memories of him. His legacy of hard work, generosity to- wards others, and Christian be- liefs will be forever cherished by his children, Gary Williams (Gennie), Jennifer Stewart (Calvin), Frank Crum, Jr. (Davin), Darlene Zeigler (Zettis), Herbert Crum (Tonya), Tammy Harris (Andrew), Frank James Crum (Sherelle), Treska Crum, Jessica Crum, Seth Crum (Kate- sha), Eric Crum, and Alex Crum, all of Tampa; 41 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday November 30, 2018, from 5 – 8 p. m. with the family pres- ent from 7 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
