MR. JEROME ‘JIMBO’ JOHNSON
Mr. Jerome Johnson (a. k. a., Jimbo) passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. A Homego- ing Celebration in loving memory of Mr. Jerome Johnson will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2 p. m. at The Center For Man- ifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Johnson was a resident of Tampa, FL for 64 years. He was educated in Hillsborough County Public Schools and was a former employee of Lupton’s Catering and Restaurant.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by: his father, Roman Johnson; mother, Charlie Mae Johnson; 4 brothers, Lewis Bell, Arthur Lee, Ronald Johnson, Ad- dison Johnson; and sister, Priscilla Williams.

MR. ULYSSES COLE
Mr. Ulysses Cole of Tampa passed away Sunday, Novem- ber 12, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, De- cember 2, 2017 at 11 a. m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street, with Reverend W. James Favorite, Pastor, offici- ating.
Mr. Cole was a native of Thomasville, Georgia and a res- ident of Tampa, Florida for over 60 years. He attended the public schools of Thomas County, Georgia, and was a member of Beulah BIC of Tampa, Florida. He retired with the City of Tampa Sanitation Department as a Driver/Opera- tor. Mr. Cole was born on Au- gust 23, 1937 in Thomasville, GA.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ben Cole, Jr. and Alberta Dunson; wife of over 60 years, Martha Sue Cole; brothers, Willie C. Cole, Benny Cole and Fred Billingsley; sis- ters, Bennie Mae Cole Dennis and Eliza Cole.
He leaves to cherish: daugh- ters, Betty Cole (Wade), Natelie Cole, and Pamela Rudd; son, Marc Cole; brother, Arthur Cole (Kathy); sisters, Millie Cole Warren, Joanne Stillwell and Frankie Thompson; sister- in-law, Leatha Boone (An- thony); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends; devoted friend and caregiver, Victoria Bernaldo.
The remains will repose one hour prior to service, Saturday morning at the church.

DEACON HAROLD BILLINGSLEA SCOTT, JR.
Deacon Harold Billingslea Scott, Jr. quietly transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 19, 2017. A Victory Celebration of Deacon Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, De- cember 2nd at 12 p. m. at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1207 N. Jefferson Street, Tampa 33602, Rev. Dr. Brett Snowden, Pastor, officiat- ing. The Eulogist will be Rev. Dr. Shafter E. Scott (brother to Harold) of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Plant City. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Deacon Scott was the 3rd of 13 children, born in West Tampa to Deacon Harold B. Scott, Sr. (deceased) and Deaconess Lu- cile Scott. He attended Dunbar and Harlem Elementary, Booker T. Washington, graduating with the Howard W. Blake High School Class of 1959. He was an active supporter - Class of ‘59’ and H. W. Blake Athletic Booster Club. He received his Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Gibbs Junior College-St. Petersburg, FL.
Deacon Scott accepted a po- sition with the University of Tampa as an electrician for 10 years. In 1972, Harold joined the Model Cities and Urban Renewal Program as a Training Coun- selor/HUD Inspector; 1975 the program merged with the City of Tampa. Harold proudly served 34 years with the City of Tampa Dept. of Code Enforcement, re- tiring January 2009 as a Com- munity Development Supervisor - Code Enforcement.
He received countless awards /accolades for his tire- less and dedicated service. Dur- ing this time, Harold was a great supporter to the City of Tampa Black History Committee, Inc. and created the Harold B. Scott, Jr. Academic Scholarship under this organization, awarded to a graduating senior from his beloved Greater Bethel Mission- ary Baptist Church. He loved to sing and used his talent in the Don Thompson/Howard W. Blake Alumni Choir, Adult Choir and Male Chorus of Greater Bethel M. B. Church.
Deacon Scott served God faithfully at Greater Bethel and briefly with the congregation of Faith Temple M. B. Church, Tampa. He proudly sang on church programs throughout Florida with The Singing Spe- cials, a semi-professional all male group. He was in the Benevolent Gospel Group com- posed of family and dear friends singing to the sick and shut in throughout Hillsborough County. Mr. Scott remained a long standing member of the Woodland Terrace Neighbor- hood Watch Grid 055.

MRS. FLORASTINE HANCOCK
Funeral Service for Mrs. Flo- rastine Hancock, who died Thurs- day, November 16, 2017, will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, 2p.m.atSt.LukeA.M.E.Church, 2709 N. 25th St., Tampa, FL, Rev. Kirk Bogan, Pastor, and officiat- ing, and Rev. Dr. P. A. Wilkerson, Eulogist. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mrs. Florastine Davidson Hancock, “Flo”, was born on April 23, 1954 in Saucier, MS. At an early age, she moved from Missis- sippi to Covington, LA. Florastine was baptized and made a commit- ment of faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and embodied strong Christian values and principles that were instilled in her and her siblings by her parents.
As an adult she moved to Tampa, FL and was a faithful member of St. Luke AME Church for many years. St. Luke AME Church is where she married the love of her life, Andrew Hancock, before relocating to Palm Coast, FL and becoming a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. P. A. Wilkerson, where she re- mained an active and faithful member until her demise.
Florastine was very wise, lov- ing and passionate about giving and helping others. Her laughter was contagious and it was like food for the soul.
Florastine was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Cornelia Davidson; husband, An- drew Hancock; sisters, Mary Scott and Annie Davidson; daughter, Brenda Sharp; and grandson, An- drew Hancock, III.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Andrew (Kamika), Marcus (April), and Derrick (Andrea) Davidson; five daughters, Charlotte Harron (Barry), Lisa Antelonie (Roan), Sonja Stillings, Sheila Brown, and Kowanda Davidson (Shanita); 33 grandchildren; 22 great grand- children; one brother, Robert Davidson; two sisters, Susan Huff and Nevada Harris; a host of un- cles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The remains will repose Fri- day from 5-8 p. m. at Brown Me- morial Chapel, 2314 E. 27thAve., Tampa, FL. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p. m.
