Tedy Bruschi Recovering After Suffering Another Stroke
TEDY BRUSCHI
It has been nearly 15 years since former New England Pa- triots linebacker Tedy Br- uschi suffered a stroke and fought his way back to play several more seasons, and un- fortunately it has happened again.
Bruschi’s foundation, Tedy’s Team, released a state- ment on Friday revealing that Bruschi suffered a stroke on the 4th of July. Fortunately, the 46-year-old recognized the warning signs immediately and was able to get medical atten- tion as quickly as possible. He is said to be “recovering well.”
Bruschi has dedicated much of his life to raising awareness about strokes since he suffered his in 2005.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Good- win proved his speed is on another level by winning the inaugural 40 Yards of Gold tournament on Saturday night.
Pro football players gath- ered at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday for a tournament-style sprinting competition. The players were broken up into two brackets, one with eight offensive players and the other with eight defensive players.
Goodwin and Carolina Panthers defensive back Donte Jackson made the finals of the event, which Goodwin won to capture
 Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton lost his arm in a car wreck last week, but he hasn’t lost his sense of humor.
According to Safid Dean of the South Florida Sun Sen- tinel, Norton was upgraded from critical to stable condi- tion, after the emergency sur- gery to remove his left arm.
Norton’s injury hap- pened when his truck rolled over after colliding with a concrete barrier, coming to rest on its roof.
The former seventh- round pick of the Panthers from Miami joined the Dol- phins late last season. While he’s still in the hospital, he’s apparently in good spirits. His agent shared an ex-

change with former college teammate David Njoku.
That kind of attitude will help Norton in the coming months, along with support from his friends and team- mates.
