50 Cent Says 'Power' Will Not End After Season 6: 'I Changed My Mind'
Central Park (Exonerated) Five Presented With Courage Award At ACLU Luncheon
From left, honorees Antron McCray, Raymond Santana, Yusef Salaam, Kevin Richardson and Korey Wise pose together at the ACLU SoCal's 25th Annual Luncheon at the JW Marriott at LA Live, Friday, June 7, 2019, in Los Angeles.
Fans were shook after Starz announced that its popular se- ries, Power, would end after its sixth season. Nearly two months after the initial an- nouncement, however, 50 Cent suggested the hit series is far from over. In fact, in a post on Instagram on Tuesday (June 25), Fif said more sea- sons are on the way.
"I Changed my mind. POWER is not going to be over after season 6," 50 captioned a post of himself. "This sh*t is too good."
Although 50 as acted as an executive producer on the se- ries, his statement likely comes

as a shock to the cast as well as its co-creator, Courtney A.
Kemp. Carmi Zlotnik, Starz's president of program- ming, also released a state- ment in May 2019, confirming the show's end.
"Season 6 brings us to the end of what we know is just the first chapter of the 'Power' story. However, as one chapter comes to an end, another will begin," Zlotnik said in a state- ment. "Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have created a world rich with complex and dy- namic characters and there are a number of stories we plan to tell as we continue to explore and expand the 'Power' uni- verse."
Tearful and profound,
Yusef Salaam, Antron Mc- Cray, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise were presented with the Roger Baldwin Courage Award by the Ameri- can Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.
The ceremony took place on Friday (June 7) with actor Michael B. Jordan present- ing the men with the honor during the ACLU SoCal's 25th Annual Luncheon, Associated Press reports. Since the re- lease of the Ava DuVernay- directed film, When They See Us, the men have been praised for their bravery after they were wrongfully convicted of a
rape they didn't commit. The inaugural Roger Baldwin Courage Award was named after the ACLU's co-founder and its first executive director.
"It's dangerous in America when you're living in a black body," Jordan said before presenting the award. "The whole time that these men were incarcerated, they never changed their story. They in- sisted of their innocence even as they did their time."
"I'm not ashamed to cry in front of you," Salaam said. The men were between 13 and 16 years old when they were wrongfully convicted. "Our story is a story of an egregious miscarriage of justice."
Eminem's Father Marshall Bruce Mathers, Jr. Dies At Age 67
Eminem's biological father, Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., has passed away, TMZ re- ports. He was reportedly 67 years old at the time of his death.
It is unclear when Mathers passed away at this time. TMZ reports Mathers died in his home near Fort Wayne, Indi- ana after suffering from an ap- parent heart attack.
Eminem's mother, Debbie reportedly married Mathers, Jr. when she was 15 and he was 22. They had Em two years later. Shortly after, the couple reportedly split, leaving Eminem and his mom to move in with her family in De-

troit while Mathers moved to California.
Eminem has been very
vocal about his broken rela- tionship with his father. He frequently rapped about him on songs like "My Name Is" and "Cleanin' Out My Closet." The rapper also opened up about his dad in previous in- terviews, saying that he wrote several letters to him and at- tempted to call him, but never heard back from him.
In 2002, Bruce published a letter addressed to his son in The Daily Mirror, explaining why he left his family. He claimed Em's mother drove him away.
Eminem has not com- mented on the passing of his father.
