Disciples Of Christ Safely Celebrates Pastor’s 16th Appreciation Service
Members of the Disciples of Christ Christian Fellowship in Riverview, didn’t allow the Coronavirus to stop them from letting their pastor, Ken- neth McKay and his wife, Mary Jo, know how much they love and appreciate them.
The church hosted its 16th Annual Pastor Appreciation Service virtually in October. Members and friends joined them safely, from the comfort of their homes, via Zoom or the church’s YouTube chan- nel.
The set-up was dinner the- ater style, where Pastor McKay and Mrs. McKay sat at a decorated table and viewed a pre-recorded cele- bration.
Those who attended the event participated in games and were able to interact with the McKays at the end of the program.
Markel Pryor and Karen Bowen assisted with the decorations.
Aproximately 100 mem- bers and friends attended vir- tually from their homes. Those who assisted with the program and set-up attended in person. Family and friends from as far away as New York attended from the comforts of their homes. (Photos by Julia Jackson)
