Crime
Man Charged In Hit And Run Accident

A 18-year-old man was ar- rested and charged in connec- tion with an accident. The accident took place at the in- tersection of E. Lake Avenue and N. 26th Street.
According to police, Les- ley Cottman, 26, of Tampa, was driving when he became involved in a traffic accident. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly jumped from the vehicle and ran.
He was caught a short dis- tance from the accident. Police charged Jah A. Polycarpe, of Brooklyn, New York, with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and vio- lation of driver’s license re- strictions.
He was released from the Hillsborough County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond.

The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office plans to seek the death penalty against Ronnie Oneal, III, in the deaths of Ms. Keny- atta Barron and their daughter, Ron’Niveya Oneal. They were killed on March 18, 2018. Oneal is also accused of the attempted murder of their son, Ronnie

Oneal has been charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder, 1 count of attempted first-degree murder, 1 count first-degree arson, and 1 count of resisting arrest with- out violence.

‘Operation Old Spice’ Nets $500,000 In Synthetic Drugs
Last week, two people were arrested after police raided a home in Hillsbor- ough County. Police also seized more than $500,000 in synthetic marijuana.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, the bust, called “Operation Old Spice,” was one of the largest synthetic marijuana busts in the agency’s history.
In April 2018, detectives with the Special Investiga- tions Division received a tip about a large amount of Syn- thetic Marijuana, or “Spice,” was being manufactured and distributed out of a house located at 3216 Little Road, in Valrico. Detectives, joined by Home Security Home Investigations, brought the investigation to

a close on May 15th and May 16th, when they executed three court-authorized search warrants.
Detectives seized 9 pounds of synthetic mari- juana from a storage unit lo- cated at 2108 Jelane Drive. They also searched a resi- dence at 3216 Little Road, in Plant City.
Police found several items of drug paraphernalia used to package, manufac- ture, and distribute. They also found 525 pounds of spice in various forms and stages of manufacture. The

drugs had a street value of more than $500,000.
Police arrested Donya Hussein, 45, and 40-year- old Roger Wakim. They were charged with trafficking in synthetic cannabinoids, over 30 kilo- grams, and owning, renting or leasing property for the purpose of drug trafficking.
When police searched 4801 Calhoun Road, they re- portedly discovered more records and documentation related to drug operation and small amounts of spice.
