A life well-lived is a legacy of joy, pride and pleasure.
A loving mother and last- ing memories leaves grate- ful hearts full of treasures.
Eight years ago on De- cember 24, 2008, you de- parted this earth and left us. We miss you very much, al- though you are forever in our hearts.
Your children: Delorse, Lynn and Eddie; and numer- ous other relatives.

MR. WILLIE T. FLANNING, SR.
Homegoing celebration for Mr. Willie T. Flanning, Sr. (Tommy) will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 12 p. m. at True Holiness Church, 3800 N. Nebraska Avenue.
Willie T. Flanning, Sr. was born on August 12, 1961, in Dothan, Alabama and raised in Enterprise, Alabama.
He moved to Tampa in 1978 and became a resident.
Willie was a man that truly loved his family. His grand- children were his pride and joy.
He enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mrs. Ruby Lee Palmore; father, James Louis Flanning; grandpar- ents, Willie Thomas and Eva Lee Flanning, Marvin Daven- port and Mattie Lee Jackson; and sisters, Jamie and Tre’Nice.
His loving and cherished memories will be shared by his family: children, Willie T. Flanning, Jr., James Louis Flanning (Jenia), and Vir- ginia Nelson; grandchildren, Jeniya, Jayanni, James Louis, Jr., Jayvion, Oluwagbemiga, Anija and Willie Dominique; brothers, James, Robert, Andre, Mar- vin and Ron; sisters, Saminthia, Denise, Michelle and Inita; aunts, Annie Rae, Betty, Carrie, Virgie and Shirley; uncles, Paul J. Reynolds and Willie Flan- ning; 14 nieces, 10 nephews, and 40 great nephews and nieces; a very special cousin, Gloria; a host of sorrowing relatives and friends; and a very close friend, “Rock.”
The visitation will be held at Gudes Funeral Home, 4050 E. Hillsborough Av- enue on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5-7 p. m.
The friends are to meet at the church on Saturday, December 12, 2015, for the service.

MR. LEROY THOMAS, JR.
Funeral services for Mr. LeRoy Thomas, Jr., who passed away November 27, 2015 will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Ave., Tampa, 33607, with Rev. Dr. Harper, officiating. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Monday.
Deacon Thomas was born January 18, 1930 to the late Mabel and LeRoy Thomas, Sr. in Gainesville, FL, where he also attended local schools.
He moved to the Tampa Bay area, where he gradu- ated from Don Thompson High School (Howard W. Blake), and lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 60 years.
He was drafted into the Armed Forces, where he served in the Korean War, and was a military policeman stationed in Japan. He was awarded the Medal of Bronze Star for bravery and was honorably discharged in 1951.
He was joined in holy mat- rimony to the love of his life, Ruby Lee Little, and to this union, one son and three daughters were born. He raised all four children alone after his wife’s demise. He was a wonderful, loving and caring father to his four chil- dren and was known as a strict disciplinarian.
He was a United States Postal Service Letter Carrier in which he retired after 40 years.
He was most loved as a special resident of the Lin-
coln Gardens Community, where he resided for 60 years. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at a young age and was a faithful member and dedicated Dea- con of The First Baptist Church of West Tampa for over 60 years until his peace- ful departure.
He was a dedicated, spiri- tual and dependable Deacon to the members of his ward and others during their hour of sickness. He sang in the Men’s Chorus, served as a Senior Officer in the church, attended prayer meetings, and taught Baptist Training Union Classes until he be- came too ill to continue.
Deacon Thomas was pre- ceded in death by: his mother and father; his wife, Ruby Lee Thomas; sister, Bernice; and brothers, Henry, Joseph and Walter.
He later met and married, Cynthia Thomas, who also preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are: his children, very devoted son, LeRoy Thomas, III; daugh- ter, Demeris Hughes and husband, Johnny (very de- voted son-in-law and brother in Christ), Gloria Posey, and very devoted daughter, Verette Bryant; loving sister, Ruth Stewart; devoted nephew, James Stewart, Jr.; and grandchildren, Kenny, Lacey, Anthony, Samuel, Brittini, Bethani, Jon, An- gelique, Manzy, Kellee, and Keiana.
He also leaves: a very spe- cial friend and brother in Christ, Brother Robert Brown; the First Baptist Church family; the Lincoln Gardens Neighborhood fam- ily; many loving great grand- children; and host of adoring nieces and nephews from Clearwater and Gainesville, FL; and a host of other sor- rowing relatives and loving friends.
Visitation for Mr. LeRoy Thomas will be held Friday evening from 5-8 p. m. at Harmon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p. m.
The processional at the church will arrange with pas- tor and family at 10:45 a. m. on Saturday.

MRS. SYLVIA WILLIAMS HARTWAY
Mrs. Sylvia Williams Hart- way of Willingboro, New Jer- sey, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Decem- ber12,at2p.m.atRay Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Pastor Stanley M. Jacobs of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, Ocala, FL, eulogist. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartway was a native of Tampa, where she was ed- ucated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. She furthered her education at Edward Waters College.
Mrs. Hartway received Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of 8 years old and was baptized at New Salem Missionary Bap- tist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Philip Hart- way; father, Joseph Williams, Sr.; mother, Willie Bell Williams; and sister, Margaret Williams York.
Her memories will be cherished by: her four sis- ters, Pearl (Richard) Adams, Joan (Fred) Smiley, Malissa Williams Daniels and Cecelia Williams Knox (Furman); two brothers, Joseph Williams, Jr. (Beatrice), and John Williams (Sandra); other relatives who share in Sylvia's memory; Michelle Adams of Willingboro, NJ; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews and loved ones.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m., Friday, Decem- ber 11, 2015 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

Ms. Sharon Denise Jack- son of Tampa, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Decem- ber12,at11a.m.atNewFirst Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3707 E. Chelsea Street, Reverend B. E. Gar- mon, Sr., pastor, with Rev- erend Jerome Griffin, Pastor of Evening Star M. B. Church, officiating.
Ms. Jackson was a native of Clarksville, Tennessee, and a resident of Tampa for 42 years.
She attended H. B. Plant High School and Wilfred Beauty Academy.
She was employed by GQ Fashions and Fashion Essence.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her father, Joe Jack- son of Atlanta, Georgia; chil- dren, Joseph Jackson, Khalia Jackson and Emanuel Jack- son, all of Tampa; grand- daughter, Jayla Vega of Tampa; sisters, Mona (Rev- erend Jerome) Griffin, Alisia (Theodore) Royal, Natalia Perez, Stephanie (James) Thompson, and Julie Jack- son, all of Tampa, and Jovett Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Jeross Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia; nephews and nieces, Stephen (Laticia) Griffin, Tyrome (Dallas) Griffin, Jerome “Duaney” (Audrey) Griffin, Antonius “Tony” (Jeanell) Bagwell, Staci Thompson, Brittany Thompson, Jonathan Sanders, Justin Sanders and Jasmin Harrington; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
