A Special 90th Birthday Celebration
A special 90th Birthday Celebration for Ms. Mary Mitchell was held on her birthday, Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Egypt Shrine Temple. Dr. Samuel Lamar Wright, Sr. was the Master of Ceremonies and the Men of Vision served as escorts.
Program participants included: Sandra Cooke, Marilyn Dupree, Donte’ McClaine, Rev. Gregory Gay, daughters of the honoree: Chloe J. Coney and Jacqueline Chaney Wilson; grandchildren, Ernest M. Coney, Jr. and Donce- lyn Chaney; Alex Harris and Norman Harris, Esquire, who gave an instrumental tribute; Charles Coney, Sr., po- etic tribute; expressions from the honoree, Mary Mitchell; and the benediction by Pastor Ernest M. Coney, Sr.
Congresswoman Kathy Castor and her husband, were among the surprise guests.
