Seaman Assigned To Aircraft Carrier

Ronald Reagan, the Car- rier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
Friends And Family Get Together For 60th Birthday Celebration
Bay Area Residents Receive Promotions In U. S. Navy
Recently, two enlistees with ties to the Tampa Bay Area were promoted. Counselor Melissa Bond, of New Port Richey, and Christopher Martin, of Tampa, were prom0ted as members of the U. S. Navy.
Counselor Bond and Chief Martin were both pro- moted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Counselor Bond has been a member of the Navy for the past 13 years and is cur- rently serving at the Navy Re- cruiting District San Francisco as a Medical Programs Re- cruiter. A 2001 graduate of Gulf High School, Counselor Bond was one of six sailors who participated in the pro- motion ceremony.
Chief Martin has served in the U. S. Navy for the past 11 years. He was one of 28 sailors who took part in their promotion ceremony.
He is currently serving at the Navy Recruiting District Miami, located in Fort Myers.
