Tampa’s homeless popula- tion may be easy for some res- idents and government agencies to ignore, but not for True Prosperity Evangelist Outreach.
Pastor Cornelius Hamilton and his wife, Dev- lyn, have led a weekly effort to provide food, clothing, and prayer for homeless people all
over the city.
Every Sunday beginning at
5 p.m., Pastor Hamilton, is wife, and a group of volun- teers, meet at St. Peter Claver Church, 1203 North Nebraska Avenue, to feed and pray with the homeless population.
“I think it is the mission of all of us to see that homeless people are provided with hope, food, clothing, and sup- plies,” said Pastor Hamil- ton.
“Some people are less for- tunate than others, and this is a time when we all need to start caring more.”
Pastor Hamilton said he’s still seeking others to join him on this huge task by do- nating their time, services, and spirit to helping people rebuild their lives.
“Sometimes, just showing

you care can make a big dif- ference. If you see the smiles and tears on the faces of some of the people we minister to, you will feel so blessed to have made a difference in their life.
“It all starts with caring, and understanding that roles could be reversed and it could be you seeking help.”
