acceptance speech seemingly appeared to ruffle several feathers when the 32-year-old rapper was cut-off midsen- tence and replaced with a commercial break.
Causing many to speculate if the incident was indeed an accident, the Recording Acad- emy's representatives offered an official statement attribut- ing the impromptu commer- cial break to a natural pause in breath.
“During Drake’s speech, there was a natural pause and at that moment the producers did assume that he was done and then cut to commercial,” Sunshine Sachs’ Michael Sa- monte said. “However the producers did speak with Drake following his speech and did offer him to come back on stage to finish what- ever his thoughts were. But Drake said he was happy with what he said and didn’t have anything to add.”
Explaining the issues with award shows misinterpreting and devaluing their art, Drake reiterated that a tro- phy does not make you a win- ner.

 Recording Studio
Bill Cosby’s right-hand man said that the legendary comic is having an “amazing” time behind bars, but still maintains that he did nothing wrong.
Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s
lawyer and longtime aide, talked to Philadelphia’s WCAU-TV about the con- victed sex offender’s stint in a maximum security Pennsylva- nia prison.
Wyatt said that Cosby’s spirits remain high and the co- median enjoys talking to other inmates and encouraging them.
“Despite the circum- stances, he said, ‘This is an

As many as 10 shots were fired during the incident at Westlake Recording Studio, and according to eyewit- nesses, the man who opened fire was fleeing the studio when he started shooting be- hind him.
Pop stars such as Justin Bieber, the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, Ri- hanna, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Timber- lake and Quincy Jones have reportedly all recorded at Westlake in recent years.
According to law enforce- ment sources, Usher was in the studio at the time of the robbery, but not harmed. Rich was reportedly the tar-

“Mr. Cosby had prepared himself... He’s mentally strong. He’s just a strong man.”
Wyatt added that Cosby has lost weight and is not eat- ing bread or drinking coffee.
Samuel L. Jackson Returns As Shaft
  Cardi B Quits Instagram
Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as John Shaft, II and the first poster for the new film has arrived.
This fifth installment in the franchise sees three differ- ent generations of Shaft re- uniting in one movie.
Jackson makes his return alongside original Shaft star Richard Roundtree and franchise newcomer Jessie T. Usher, who plays the es- tranged son of Jackson’s character.
This latest movie sees Samuel L. Jackson reunit- ing with his estranged son, who now works as a cyberse- curity agent for the FBI and

needs his help, leading to a clashing of ideologies. By the time this movie hits theaters, it will have been nearly 20 years since Jackson last played Shaft in the movie di- rected by John Singleton. That effort was a modest suc- cess, grossing $104M world- wide.
Cardi B has had enough of the drama following her Grammy win for best rap album.
Right after she picked up her award, BET sent out a tweet that pitted Cardi B against Nicki Minaj saying, “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lace- front.”
Cardi B, 26, didn’t take that too well and posted, then deleted, an expletive-filled rant about the network and naysayers. A fan account cap- tured the video.
“It’s not my style for peo- ple to put other people down to uplift somebody else,” she said. “That’s not my type and that’s not what I’m with. I don’t support that.”
Then Cardi B turned her attention to her detractors who said she didn’t deserve her award. “I’m seeing a lot of bulls–t today and I saw a lot of s–t last night, and I’m sick of the s–t. I work hard for my motherf—king album.”
The mother of one added that she slept in the studio and worked around the clock — despite being pregnant.
CARDI B
She has since deactivated her Instagram account — per- haps in an effort to distance herself from her critics and trolls.
While Cardi B dodges that drama, she could be fac- ing even more in Houston.
She’s slated to perform at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 1 and nearly 15,000 people have signed a petition asking her to drop out.
An online petition, hosted by Care 2, claims the show abuses animals and cites the rapper’s love for animals as the reason why she should bow out.
