What Will It Cost
Odell Beckham, Jr. Arrest Warrant Issued For Slapping Guard's Butt Post-LSU Win
The Bucs To Keep
Jameis Winston?
New Orleans police were granted an arrest warrant for Odell Beckham, Jr. over an accusation of simple battery after he slapped the buttocks of a Superdome security guard following LSU's na- tional championship victory over Clemson.
A police spokesperson told
Ramon Antonio Vargas
NOLA.com that police sought charges after video surfaced of the incident on social media. In the video, Beckham is shown slapping the guard and saying "get the gat" repeat- edly.
While Vargas and Wells reported the victim was a New Orleans police officer, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that he's a Super- dome security guard.

SHAQUIL BARRETT
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star linebacker Shaquil Bar- rett had a historical season for Tampa Bay. After signing a one-year contract last offsea- son to join a rebuilding de- fense, Barrett established himself as the best defensive player of the Bucs this year, collecting 19.5 sacks and breaking the franchise’s sin- gle-season sack record.
Now, Barrett is waiting for what will likely be a big payday this offseason from the Bucs. Both sides have mutual interest in a reunion, so all the Pro Bowl linebacker has to do now is sit back and wait.
And, what better way to pass the time than playing on a trampoline with your little ones?
but his words could not be heard on the video.
Wells and Vargas re- ported police "originally sought a warrant for a misde- meanor sexual battery charge," but it was declined. Simple battery is a misde- meanor crime that carries up to 6 months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
The major difference be- tween the two charges is that sexual battery cannot be ex- punged, whereas simple bat- tery can.
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers have a huge decision to make this offseason at the game's most important posi- tion.
Jameis Winston, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft and Tampa Bay's franchise quarterback ever since, is set to become an un- restricted free agent. The Bucs have multiple options to make sure he returns for the 2020 season, but none of them are cheap.
Tampa Bay could put the franchise tag on Winston, which would pay him around $27 million for the 2020 sea- son and prevent him from going elsewhere. For compar- ison, Winston made nearly $21 million in 2019, on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract.
What would a long-term contract extension cost? CBS Sports' Pete Prisco gave his thoughts on Tampa's WDAE Radio (via JoeBucsFan):
“If I’m Jameis, I’m ask- ing for $30 million guaran- teed money. Again, Dak Prescott’s probably going to get [$35 million annually]. The new CBA money is going

to go up. What I’ve been say- ing all along is you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t with those guys. And Dak included [and] Jameis Winston. What if you do if don’t bring him back? If you’re the Bucs, what do you do?”
That kind of money may seem high for a quarterback who just threw 30 intercep- tions, but that's also the going rate for even an above-aver- age QB in today's NFL. Win- ston also just led the league in passing yards, and finished second in touchdown passes. For all his faults, Winston will make sure those numbers aren't forgotten in contract negotiations.

Relationship With Antonio Brown
Until WR Seeks Counseling
Antonio Brown has burned countless bridges with his antics over the past year- plus, and the latest to sever ties with him is his agent — at least for now.
Brown’s longtime agent, Drew Rosenhaus, wrote a letter to the NFL Players As- sociation on Thursday in- forming them that he has terminated his relationship with Brown until the star re- ceiver seeks help. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Rosenhaus said he is willing to work with Brown in the future, but only if Brown gets counseling.
Brown’s attorney Dar- ren Heitner has also re- moved himself as counsel for

Brown.
Earlier in the week,
Brown shared video of him- self on Instagram live berat- ing police officers outside his home and cursing at them in front of his children. The re- cent actions will likely impact Brown’s chances of finding work in the NFL next season.
