RAY WILLIAMS
MR. ROBERT HARRIS
Mr. Robert “Rabbit” Har- ris passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016. Fu- neral services will be con- ducted Saturday, December 3, 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Elder Leroy Turner, Jr., officiat- ing. Interment will be Mon- day, December 5th, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida.
Mr. Harris, born March 29, 1924 in Barbourville, Kentucky, was a resident of Tampa since 1925. He grad- uated from Middleton High School and Bethune- Cook- man College. Robert served his country by en- listing in the United States Army. He was an educator, officiated high school foot- ball games and was em- ployed at various jobs during his lifetime. He was a member of the Tampa Legends and Bethune- Cookman University Foot- ball Hall of Fame.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Liller Harris; sisters, Susie Mae Williams and Mattie Lee Black; and nephews, Leonard Harris and Reginald Black.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Mattie Har- ris; daughters, Voncile (John) Scott, and Chequit- tea (Claude) Lumpkins; grandsons, Bryan Lump- kins and Donald (Takiyah) Scott; great grandson, An- thony Lumpkins; nieces, Mercedes Copeland and Frances Harris; grand- nieces and nephews, Joyetta (Merrel) Williams, Eurena (Michael) White, Eric Hayes, Vadry Hayes, Charles Hayes and Jason Harris; cousins, the Thompson, Flowers, Wat- son, Jackson, and Harris Families; devoted friends, Coach Charlie White, Willie Mitchell, Oscar Hill; and a host of other loving rela- tives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Bethune Cook- man University’s Hillsbor- ough Alumni Chapter, 9102 Canberley Drive, Tampa, Florida 33647, in memory of Robert “Rabbit” Harris class of 1950.

MR. GARY FORD, SR.
Homegoing services for Mr. Gary Ford, Sr., who God called home on Tuesday, No- vember 22, 2016, at his home in Lake Placid, FL, will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, at 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL.
Gary Ford was born the second of six children on September 17, 1953, in Ft. Myers, FL to John Ford and Elease Sandra Diggs. He was educated in Tampa, and en- listed in the United States Army and where he served his country until he was hon- orably discharged.
Mr. Ford was the owner of Hyde Park Upholstery in Tampa, for 32 years until he relocated to Lake Placid, FL where he continued his busi- ness for an additional 4 years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Elease San- dra Diggs and John Ford; stepfather, Wallace A. Diggs; son, Eric Payne; brother, Michael Ford; sister, Juliette EarlineDiggs-Backman;and nephew, Michael Lamond Diggs.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Geraldine Ford; 4 children, Gary Ford, Terrance Ford (Carolyn), Ashley Ford and Brandy Ford; 3 step-chil- dren, Adrian Hicks, Felisha Hicks-Flowers (Ira), Tameka Howell (Anthony); host of beloved grandchildren; 3 brothers, Tony Ford (Car- olyn), John Ford (Aline), and Wallace A. Mrs. Gertrude “Lil Sister” Jackson of Tampa passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Decem- ber3,at11a.m.atFirstBap- tist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Avenue, with Pastor Rayford Harper, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Gertrude Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa. She was educated in the public schools of Hills- borough County and was a member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa. She was employed as a Custodian at Robinson High School and a School Crossing Guard for the Hillsborough County Sheriff.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Frank Jack- son, Sr.; and her parents, Joshua and Mattie Solomon Adams.

MR. DAMON D. LARRY, SR.
Mr. Damon D. Larry, Sr. of Tampa passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, De- cember 3rd, at 2 p. m. at New Greater Friendship Mission- ary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, with Reverend Ronnie Murray, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Larry was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, and was educated in the pub- lic schools of Fulton County, GA and Hillsborough County. He was a member of Revealing Truth Ministries. Mr. Larry was employed as a Welder at Marine Technol- ogy and he also enjoyed a ca- reer as a Realtor with Denson Realty.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Lamar Larry; great grandmother, Catherine Jones; great aunts, Bernice Nelson-Green and Betty Orr; great uncles, Ruben Jones, Willie Larry and Earnest Larry.

MRS. EARON CARROLL CUFFIE
Mrs. Earon Carroll Cuffie, age 98, of Tallahas- see, FL, and a longtime res- ident of Tampa, FL, passed on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Saturday, December 3, at St. Luke AME Church, 2709 25th St., Tampa, with interment in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p. m. Fri- day, December 2, (today) at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. MLK, Jr. Blvd., Tampa 33610. A Wake will follow from 5-6:30 p. m. at St. Luke.
Mrs. Cuffie was a native of Climax, GA and a domes- tic service provider for more than 50 years to Dr. Harold Nix and family. At St. Luke, she faithfully served as stewardess, trustee and in the Willing Workers and Young at Heart Seniors Outreach Ministries. She was a char- ter member of Zeta Amicae and a devoted member of the Princetonettes Social and Civic Club. An avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ fan, she enjoyed gardening and caring for her pets, Precious and Frenchie.
Memories of Earon will be fondly cherished by: her brother-caregiver, Dr. Robert (Thelma) Carroll of Tallahassee, FL; three sis- ters, Mayme Calhoun and Edna Pennington, both of Long Beach, CA, and Mary Durham of Garden Grove, CA; sister-in-law, Nellie Bythewood of Tampa, FL; goddaughter, Kathy Gutzmers of Orlando, FL; godson, Clarence P. Wil- son, Jr. of Tampa, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
