If Your Birthday Is Today: Writer David Mamet (1947) shares your birthday today. You are ambitious, inde- pendent, kind and generous. You like to plan for the future. In the next two to three years, you will experience a time of culmination, success and fi- nancial accumulation. That’s why it is wise to start to settle your debts. The year 2017 will be a social year. It will also deal with the results of the changes that took place this year.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22- Dec. 21): Your energy is lower than usual today, which is why you feel tired and not up to snuff. Frankly, you need a day off. Don’t worry because a lot of people feel discouraged today, in large measure because their confidence is taking a hit. “I’m navel lint.”
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): If you feel inadequate or you fear that someone is going to discover that you really don’t know what you’re doing, relax. Everyone feels this way today in varying degrees. Capricorns just have a stronger dose than usual. Cut people some slack today — including yourself.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Relations with friends, as well as members of groups, are tricky today. Someone might be playing fast and loose with the truth. (This won’t impress you.) Perhaps it’s just erro- neous information or a mis- take. Or perhaps it’s outright deceit. Ooooo, the nasty!
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Be very careful in discus- sions with bosses, parents, VIPs and the police today be- cause your exchanges with oth- ers are ripe for misinterpretation, confusion and even misrepresentation. Yes, someone might withhold the truth from you. Best to postpone big decisions for an- other day.
Aries (March 21-April 19): This is a poor day for po- litical discussions or discus- sions about religion and race. In part, you might feel con- fused. But you will certainly
feel undermined and at a dis- advantage if you have to pres- ent your case. Don’t even go there.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): Postpone important dis- cussions about inheritances and shared property for an- other day because you won’t defend your own best interests in the proper way today. Some- how, you feel guilty or weak, or your enthusiasm for something is gone. You’re not in the right frame of mind to be strong.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): This is not a good day for important talks with partners and close friends because some kind of confusion will muddy the waters. It might even be de- ception. Whatever the case, you won’t make good progress and you might just lose ground.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): This is the perfect day to play hooky. Your energy is flag- ging, no question. Ironically, it’s more of a mental discour- agement than a physical one. But our mind and our body are tied together, which means dis- couragement creates lethargy.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22):
You might be disappointed in a romantic partner today or even in one of your kids. Or possibly,
a fun event that you were look- ing forward to is a letdown. Don’t expect too much from others today. And if you do ex- pect something, be realistic.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Although you are focused on family matters and some- thing to do with your home, today it all feels a bit too much. You need a break. This is also not a good day for an impor- tant discussion with a parent or a family member. Things are too fuzzy and wishy-washy. Send out for dark chocolate.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22):
Trust your gut instincts today. If you think something fishy is going on — it is. Although you are busy with short trips and errands, today you feel a bit de- flated. Frankly, you need a rest from this busy pace. Don’t push yourself. Take time out for a long lunch.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Don’t agree to important financial matters today because you might not have all the facts. Or perhaps, the facts you have are erroneous. There’s a strong component of confusion present today, in addition to which, someone might even be cheating or lying. Yikes!
