Police Investigate Shooting Death Of 10-Year-Old
   MR. ZANE RUS WOOD-ANDREWS
On April 27, 1968, Mr. Zane Rus Wood-Andrews was born in Nassau, Bahamas to the parents of John and Dulcie Wood. Zane was the oldest of four children, where he at- tended John Prince Williams Primary in the Bahamas, fol- lowing Charlotte Amalie High School in Saint Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands, where he lived with his adopted parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Andrews.
Six months after gradua- tion, he served four years in the United States Air Force, where he obtained his Associ- ate’s Degree. Upon exiting the U. S. Air Force, he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Busi- ness Administration at Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida. He worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance for twenty- five years where he retired.
Zane later found a passion for real estate and became a realtor, where he gained tremendous success. Earlier
this year, Zane was diagnosed with an illness which he bat- tled for a short period of time.
On October 11, 2020, Zane gained his wings.
He will be fondly missed by: wife, Pheobe Andrews; children, Darnell, Rahshaun, Quayshuana, Darshawn, Kawanis, Isaiah, Alexandria, Sole, Sade; parents, John and Dulcie Wood; adoptive par- ents, Cinnet and Julian An- drews (deceased); siblings: Kaizer, Carla, and Ryker; grandchildren, Jevinandrew, Jubilee, Zacharie, Jalen, Julius, Jr., Julianna, Za- ’Niyah; mother-in-law, Jane Gillete; in-laws, Bernadette, Euniciva, Keith, Hank, Jovan, Marquita, and Freddie (de- ceased); aunts, Sarah, Muriel, Ida, Lillian, Anita, Helena, Heather, Jean, and Ada (de- ceased); uncles, Jeffery, Rus- sell, Charlie, David, Dudley, Michael, Charlie, David, Dud- ley, Michael, Nomie, and Os- mand; nieces and nephews, Raeven, Raequan, Raeno, Ryclef, Ryclen, Ryker, Jr., Kaniya, Janiya, Thomas J., Tia and Sheneka, Vonisha, Antwon, Freddie, Demetrius, and too many to mention; spe- cial friends: Mr. and Mrs. Dar- ius Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Damien Beal, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Derrick Deshields, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Archer, Keara Thompson, George Wilson, Matt Wills, Gerald Welch, Car- men Cintron; Church family and a host of friends and rela- tives.
“A Temple Of Service”
Detectives are currently investigating the death of a 10-year-old whose body was found in his residence. The child died as a result of a gun- shot injury.
On Monday, October 12, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1- 1 call in reference to a shoot- ing. When deputies arrived at the residence in the 400 block of Dreisler Street, shortly after 4:30 p.m., they found the 10-year-old boy unre- sponsive inside the home.
They performed life-sav- ing measures, but were not successful. He was pro- nounced dead at the scene.

side the residence at the time of the shooting. In conjunc- tion with the Florida Depart- ment of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the State Attorney’s Office, and the Medical Ex-
aminer’s Office, detectives are working to determine the cause of death.
No arrests had been made at press time and the investi- gation is continuing.
 Police Search For Man Who Fired Gun During Robbery
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who threatened a convenience store em- ployee and fired a round in- side the business before robbing it and then fleeing. The armed robbery took place at the Shell Gas Sta- tion, 4330 Lithia Pinecrest Road, in Valrico, last Satur- day, shortly before 11 p.m.
The surveillance shows an unidentified man enter- ing the business and going behind the counter. The man grabbed a plastic container with rolled coins.
He then pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded she open the cash register. At one point, the man pointed the gun away and fired a round through a display shelf. In fear for her life, the clerk opened the cash regis- ter.
The Shell Gas Station, 4330 Lithia Pinecrest Road in Val- rico, was robbed at gunpoint.
   The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of money and ran out of the store toward an unknown ve- hicle, which traveled north- bound on Lithia Pinecrest Road.
