Woman Gets 50 Years In Death Of Her Son
Judge Grants Separate Trials In Seminole Heights Killings
           JORDAN BELLIVEAU
A 23-year-old woman pleaded guilty to the murder of her son earlier this week. As a result of a plea agree- ment, she was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
In September 2018, Ms. Charisse Stinson told po- lice that she had accepted a ride from a stranger. The man allegedly knocked her out and fled with her 2-year- old son, Jordan Belliveau.
After an exhaustive search, the child’s body was discovered in a shallow grave

in a park. Ms. Stinson later
admitted that she had struck the child and his head struck a wall, killing him.
She was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. After plea negotia- tions, Ms. Stinson agreed to plead guilty to second-degree murder.
She also agreed to repay law enforcement $27,900 be- cause of the manpower wasted searching for the “stranger” during the alleged kidnapping.
Last week, Hillsborough County Judge Samantha Ward approved a defense motion to separate the mur- der trials of a man accused of killing four people in 2017. Howell Donaldson, III, now 27, was arrested on No- vember 28, 2017 and accused of being the Seminole Heights serial killer.
He was charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Benjamin Mitchell, Ms. Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa, and Ronald Felton. All four of the deaths are be- lieved to be random killings and took place in Seminole Heights neighborhoods.
During the hearing,
Dana Herce-Fulgueira, one of Donaldson’s defense attorneys said, “It’s our posi- tion that there’s no meaning- ful relationship that exists between these offenses or these victims. These victims have no connection to each other. They didn’t know one another.”
The murders held the city captive for fifty-one days, be- ginning with the murder of Benjamin Mitchell, 22, on October 9, 2017. Mitchell was walking near N. 15th Street and E. Frierson, when he was shot. He died at a local hospital.
Four days later, a city em- ployee discovered the body of Ms. Monica Hoffa, 32, of Tampa. Her body was discov- ered on the morning of Octo- ber 13th, in a vacant lot in the 1000 block of East New Or- leans Avenue. She had last been seen walking through the neighborhood on October 11th, en route to meet a friend.
Anthony Naiboa was killed on October 19th, shortly
before 8 p.m. Anthony Nai- boa, 20, a young adult with Autism, had gotten off the bus at the wrong stop. He was walking north on 15th Street in the area of Wilder Avenue when he was killed.
The final murder hap- pened nearly a month later when 60-year-old Ronald Felton was killed. Felton was near the intersection of N. Nebraska Avenue and E. Caracas. Felton was ap- proached from behind. His death is unique in that the killer struck at 4:50 a.m., in- stead of at night as in the pre- vious cases.
By the time Felton was killed, a reward for informa- tion leading to the suspect had reached more than $110,000.
Howell Emanuel Don- aldson, III, was arrested after he reportedly walked into the McDonald’s Restau-

rant in Ybor City on Novem- ber 28th. He is said to have given a bag to the manager, Ms. Delanda Walker, and advised her not to look in the bag. He allegedly left the restaurant and returned a short time later.
During his absence, Ms. Walker told an officer in- side the restaurant about the gun. When Donaldson re- turned, he was taken into custody.
Donaldson admitted to
law enforcement that he pur-
chased the gun linked to the
murders. Records show he
took possession of it on Octo-
th
ber 7 , two days before the
first murder took place. Forensic evidence linked the gun in Donaldson’s possession to the murders, along with other evidence re-
covered.
Donaldson never con-
fessed to the murders.
