All About You!
Residents Invited To Attend Free Medicare Presentation
The Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) Program will host a free “Medicare Part D” presentation. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 6th, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, at the Senior Connec- tion Center, 8928 Brittany Way, in Tampa.
The organization pro- vides information and assis- tance to Florida Medicare beneficiaries as they carefully evaluate their health care op- tions.
The presentation is con- ducted by specifically trained volunteers of the SHINE Pro- gram, operated locally by Senior Connection Center. The volunteers will provide detailed information on the basics of the Medicare pro- gram, including Part D cov- erage and how to choose the plan that is right for you.
To reserve a seat or to learn more about the SHINE Program, call the local Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337.
SHINE is a program of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and is operated locally through Senior Con- nection Center.

To receive help from SHINE, individuals may schedule appointments at designated SHINE counsel- ing sites, attend enrollment events in their local commu- nities, or arrange to speak with a trained SHINE coun- selor at 1-800-96-ELDER (1- 800-963-5337).
