Eric Bieniemy Admits He Is ‘Disappointed’ Over Not Being Head Coach
ERIC BIENIEMY
One of the big surprises of the NFL offseason was Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordi- nator Eric Bieniemy once again being passed over for a head coaching position. As he prepares for another year with the Chiefs, Bieniemy is tak- ing a relaxed view, but isn’t hiding his disappointment ei- ther.
Bieniemy called himself “blessed and fortunate” to work under Andy Reid and with Patrick Mahomes, adding that he has to stay fo- cused on his job with the Chiefs. However, he did admit to some disappointment at getting passed over.
“Here is the thing. Because of the success that we’ve had, I don’t have time to get frus- trated. Because I have to get up and go to work the next day,” Bieniemy told CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora in a recent radio interview on Baltimore’s 105.7 The Fan.
“So, yes, you get a little disappointed and yes, ideally you want to get that opportu- nity to say, ‘I’m a head coach.’ But if it doesn’t happen I can’t allow that to dictate anything else, because when it’s all said and done I have to be at my best so the players can be at their best.”

Tom Brady continues to build his brand as he re- cently landed an endorse- ment deal with Subway. However, there is one issue with Brady being one of the faces of the sandwich chain.
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers quarterback will ap- pear in an ad for Subway. But the problem is he has never set foot inside a Sub- way shop.
It was also reported that Brady won't be shown hold- ing a footlong sandwich in the TV spot, which is set to air this month.
"The regimen I follow is a mix of Eastern and Western philosophies," Brady wrote in the book. "Some of these principles have been around for thousands of years. My nutritional regimen may seem restrictive to some peo- ple, but to me it feels unnat- ural to eat any other way. Many people have condi- tioned their bodies to a nu-

tritional regiment made up of lots of white or pale-look- ing foods — french fries, po- tato chips, white bread, chicken nuggets — that don’t exist in nature." Despite being very strict with his diet, Brady will eat things that are not considered the healthiest foods.
"If I’m craving bacon, I have a piece. Same with pizza. You should never re- strict what you really want. We’re humans, here for one life," Brady said during an interview with Men's Health.

Two men shot and killed a bank security guard in Indi- ana to rob nearly $10,000 in order to pay off the bills of an amateur football team one of the men owned and coached, the Chicago Sun-Times re- ported.
The FBI released a 17-page affidavit and acting U.S. At- torney Tina Nommay said her office will ask the U.S. De- partment of Justice for per- mission to seek the death penalty.
Hailey Gist-Holden, 26, and owner/coach of the Illini Panthers, and James Anthony King, Jr., 24, al- legedly ambushed First Mid- west Bank guard Richard Castellana, 55, as he was walking on the sidewalk. They allegedly shot him in the face in the June 11 incident in Gary, Indiana.
Both men face charges of armed bank robbery, using a firearm during the robbery, and causing death. Castel- lana was a retired Cook County sheriff's deputy.

$9,771.09, officials said. King reportedly told au- thorities he was a player on the football team and that his coach, Gist-Holden, was the
one who shot the guard. King, who is from Miami, Florida, was found in a nearby wooded area hours after the attack, per the affi- davit. Police said they found a backpack with cash and a .40- caliber handgun near his lo-
cation.
Gist-Holden wasn't ar-
