Man Charged With Killing His Cousin
Armed Robbery Suspect Who Held Woman At Gunpoint Arrested
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Tampa man Monday and charged him with murder. He is accused of killing his cousin.
According to police, the shooting took place at 9862 Timmons Road, in Thonoto- sassa, shortly before noon on Monday. Diquan Mills, 23, of Tampa, was visiting the residence when he was fatally wounded. He died at the scene.
During the investigation that followed, the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office said Mills was visiting when he was shot by his 38-year-old cousin. After the shooting, a witness called 9-1-1.

A 19-year-old man was taken into custody and charged Monday night after he allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint. The robbery took place last Wednesday.
According to Tampa Po- lice, the victim told police she was walking near the corner of Marti Street, South and Es- trella Street, at 1:45 p.m. A man approached her from his vehicle and placed a gun to the side of her head and de- manded money.
He took her purse and fled. Some of the items that were inside the purse were lo- cated nearby.
At the time of the robbery, the victim was able to provide police with a partial license

plate number. Detectives assigned to the
case developed leads and identified Austin Tyler Wilson and obtained a war- rant for his arrest. He was charged with armed robbery. His bond was set at $30,000.
4-Year-Old Gunshot Victim In Stable Condition
Deputies Arrest Fugitive Wanted For Louisiana Murder
A 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday and charged after his girlfriend’s 4-year-old child suffered a gunshot wound. Police be- lieve the child shot himself after finding the unsecured weapon.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 9- 1-1 call Tuesday morning in reference to the child being shot. When Emergency Med- ical Services arrived, the child was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with a gun- shot wound to the chest. He was listed in stable condition following surgery.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office did not re- lease the name of the child, a spokesperson said.
During the preliminary investigation, police deter- mined that the victim had found the unsecured .380 handgun under a dresser and

accidentally shot himself. The gun was loaded with 9 rounds, police said.
The victim lives in the Key Vista Apartment Complex with his mother, Ms. Deli- cia Forte, her boyfriend, 26- year-old Akia Thomas, and his two siblings, ages 1 and 6.
Police said Ms. Forte had gone to take one of the children to daycare and left
the child with Thomas. Police said Thomas has faced felony charges 24 times and was convicted on five of those charges. He is now fac- ing charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm; 9 counts of being a felon in pos- session of ammunition; safe storage of firearms; and pos-
session of cocaine. Thomas is currently
being held at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail. His bond was set at $77,250. The in- vestigation is continuing.
Crime Stoppers Offers Reward For Sexual Battery Suspect

The Tampa Police Depart- ment is currently investigating an alleged sexual battery that took place early Sunday. Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is of- fering a reward of up to $3,000 for information in the case.
According to Tampa Police, the victim said she was in the area of N. Central Avenue and E. Yukon Street, at approxi- mately 2:30 a.m., when an un- known man attacked her.
The suspect is described as a Black man in his early to mid 20s.

Following a tip in refer- ence to a man wanted for murder, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office lo- cated the man at a Brandon home. He was wanted in Louisiana.
According to police, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office had issued a warrant for 26-year-old Thomas Fefee. The warrant was for armed robbery and first-de- gree murder.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office learned that Fefee was at an apartment at 808 Tealwood Drive, in Bran- don. They responded to the address on Monday and made contact with Fefee.

come out of the apartment. The SWAT Team was called to the scene and the Crisis Negotiators. After several hours of negotiation, Fefee surrendered and was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Man Charged With Shooting At Police
Police have charged a Winter Haven man with as- sault on a police officer and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is currently being held at he Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
Last Friday, Plant City po- lice responded to a distur- bance at the McDonald’s Restaurant. The officers re- portedly encountered a large hostile crowd.
Shortly after their arrival, the suspect allegedly fired at least one round in the imme- diate direction of the officers, then fled in a vehicle. The sus- pect was unable to negotiate a turn and ran into a dental of- fice.
After colliding with the building, the suspect at- tempted to run away.

year-old Isaac Macher Thomas, was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with non-life threaten- ing injuries.
Thomas is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail. Sgt. Burchett has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, which is
continuing.
