MS. DORETHEA L. ANDERSON-SWAIN
A homegoing celebration for Ms. Dorethea LaVerne Ander- son-Swain of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, De- cember 15, 2016, was held Thursday, December 22nd, 11 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Ronnie Murray, officiated. The interment followed at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Dorethea was born on Janu- ary 17, 1963 in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1980. She also attended UCLA in Los An- geles, California and graduated from Erwin Tech in Tampa, with an Accounting degree. She enjoyed listening to music, watching television, but most of all spending time with her fam- ily and friends.
She will be dearly missed by: her devoted and loving parents, Nathaniel and Anna Heard; dedicated brothers, Joe Ander- son (Gwendolyn) and Carlton Williams (Joyce); special aunt, Cynthia Cochrane; special aunts and uncles, Heard family; aunts, Bobbie A. Miller, Mary Ford and Essie Anderson; uncle, Willie James Anderson (Peggy); nieces, Angela Ander- son, TreeAnna Williams, Markayla Green, Shatoya Grant, Brianna Anderson (de- ceased), Joeanna Sillas and Tierra Ponder; nephews, Robert Williams, Angelo Lofton, Bryan Simon, Joe An- derson, Jr., Tyler Sillas, Carlton Williams, Jr., Carter Jackson, Joe Anderson III, Christopher Ponder, Andres Knight, Tony Ponder, Kevis Ponder and Roy Commission; special cousins, Regina Jackson (Aja), Dan, Geary and Dwight Anderson and Andrew Knight; cousins, McWright and Knight families, Anthony, Stephanie, Travis, Tiffany and Jeffery Anderson and Oris Broxton, Jr.; special friends, Carlton and Marva Williams; best friends, Dee Dee Ward; godsisters, Celeste Judge, Agnes Mitchell and Lorie Waites; god-children, Dorethea Burke, Stephon Knight and Alayah Smith; and a host of other loving family members and friends. MRS. MARY ELIZABETH SPATES
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Spates of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, Decem- ber 21, 2016, will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 5:30 p. m. at the Palm River Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4802 17th Avenue S., Bro. Keith Lee, officiating.
Mary was born on July 31, 1914 in Madison, Florida. Mary loved attending the Kingdom Hall and associating with all her friends there. Her congre- gation cherished her and showed her tremendous love. Her delight was to share the good news of the Kingdom with friends and neighbors. Yes, her diligence continued even though she had physical limitations. Her con- tribution can be likened to “the widow’s mite” (Luke 21:2).
Mary loved sewing in her earlier years, she made most of her own clothing. She was an absolute ace at the card game bid whist. Mary was also the senior puzzler and jigsaw puzzles were her love, no mat- ter the size. Even though she was 102 years of age, she prided herself in caring for herself and her household needs. She believed that re- maining active was the key to her longevity.
Mary was preceded in death by: her loyal husband, Marvin Vincent (MV) Spates; her son, M. C. (Mack) McCray; her granddaughter, Mary Ellen Cross; her dear parents, James Haynes and Sadie Simmons Haynes; brothers, Judge and James Haynes; and many dear cousins, aunts and uncles.
Her survivors: son, Marvin Spates and wife, Kathy; grand- daughter, Joetta Watson; grandson, Ivin Spates; devoted nieces and nephew, Betty Haynes, Mamie B. Haynes Kel- ley, Mary Gibson, Izolla Bolden and Richard Lee Richardson; and many cousins, Maggie Haynes, one of the closest; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Tues- day, December 27th from 5 to 7 p. m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Kingdom Hall on Wednesday for the me- morial service.

SISTER WILLIE MAE BRYANT
Home going services for Sister Willie Mae Bryant who passed away on December 20, 2016, will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11 a. m. at Mount Cal- vary Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4902 North 40th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, Elder Walter Niles, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Sister Willie Mae Bryant was a native of Waynesboro, Georgia. She was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Seventh-day Ad- ventist Church under the origi- nal pastoral support of Elder Banfield. She was baptized by Evangelist E. C. Ward. She was an active member of the Dea- coness Board, former Superin- tendent of the Sabbath School, a member of the Golden Age Choir, and past Vacation Bible School Coordinator.
Sister Willie Mae Bryant was educated in the public schools of Burke County, Georgia. She was a Head Start Instructor with the Hillsborough County Public School System. She was known to many as Granny Aunt Mae, Sister Bryant, Mother Bryant, and Ms. Bay Mae.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Hilton Bryant; fa- ther and mother, Addison and Annie Roy Burns; 1 brother, Ernest Burns, Sr.; sisters, Leola Burns, Lessie M. Gray, and Viola Grandison.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: her devoted daugh- ter, Regina Bryant (Carwyle Baldwin); one sister, Clara B. Luke; 3 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; 20 great-great nieces and nephews; friends, Leola Lee, Tasha Hall, LaWanda Tol- liver, Ronald Mond, Curtis Mond, Sabrina Larry (Marvin), LaSharon Matthews (Michael), Michael Williams, Marjorie Williams, and Deborah Hart; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Sister Willie Mae Bryant will be held this Thurs- day evening, December 29, 2016,from5p.m.until8p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th St., Tampa, 33610. The family will receive friends from 7 p. m. until 8 p. m. The funeral processional will arrange at Mount Calvary Seventh-Day Ad- ventist Church on Friday morn- ing at 10:45 a. m.

MRS. MARION HOLLIDAY JONES
Home going celebration for Mrs. Marion Holliday Jones who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 14, 2016, will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11 a. m. at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1206 N. Jeffer- son Street, Tampa, with Rev. Jeffery Griffin, Sr., Officiating and Apostle James H. Howell, Eulogist. Interment will follow Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her parents Willie Holliday and Mattie Michael Corbin; two sisters, Margaret Holliday and Betty Corbin.
She leaves loving memories with: her devoted son, James Holliday (Beatrice); granddaughter, Latisha Holliday; grand- son, Eric Holliday (Nellie); four great grands, Destiny, De- onte, Zion, Elias, all of Tampa; one sister, Patricia Wilson of Tifton, Georgia; one niece whom she raised, Sharon Golden; five nieces; fourteen nephews; a host of loving cousins in- cluding a devoted cousin like a daughter, Linda Richardson- Thornton; two special goddaughters, Sybil Kay Andrews and Harriet Brown; a precious godmother, Mother Dorothy Williams; special devoted friends, Mrs. Willie Lee Brown, Mrs. Gloria Andrews, Mrs. Linda Evans, Mrs. Willie Mae Bur- ney, Mrs. Essie Chaney and her Carver City Ladies Group and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Mrs. Marion Holliday Jones was born in Tampa, Florida, on October 29, 1937 to the parentage of Willie Holliday and Mat- tie Michael Corbin. Marion was the oldest of four siblings. Marion attended the public schools of Hillsborough County graduating from Don Thompson High School Class of 1956.
After graduating, she enrolled at Sunlight Beauty School and became one of the best Hair Stylists and Beauticians of all times, mastering all skills. Mrs. Jones worked in the beauty business for more than 60 years. She also enjoyed modeling, dancing, dressing in the latest styles and everything fun. She had a smile that would light up any room; she was the life of the party.
Marion accepted Christ at an early age and she was a faith- ful member of Greater Bethel M. B. Church for over 50 years. She was s a dedicated member of the Mass Choir, Usher Board No. 1, Women Ministry and Bethel Light Senior Min- istry. Marion was a member of Orange Blossom Cosmetology Association. She was also the owner of her own salon and worked at several other salons, namely Bossa Nova Beauty Salon. She was presently a hair stylist at B-Elegant Salon until she became ill and was hospitalized.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5 – 8 p. m. with the family present to receive friends
