  Quarrel Ends With Fatal Shooting

A 35-year-old man has been charged in connection with an argument that turned violent. He is facing a second-degree murder charge.

A 38-year-old man is ac- cused of attacking a detention center deputy Tuesday. He is now facing additional crime charges.
Michler Gabriel was initially arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, 5 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, armed tracking in phenethy- lamines, possession of co- caine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a con- cealed weapon, and two counts of being a felon in pos- session of a firearm. He was being housed at the Orient Road Jail.
On Tuesday, around 11:15, one of the deputies was con- ducting his normal duties. He was attempting to exit a jail pod at the same time as Gabriel. As they were at- tempting to walk through the door, Gabriel reportedly re- fused to back up so the door could be opened.

Gabriel, reportedly punched the deputy in the face several times as he fell backwards onto a wall. The entire inci- dent was captured on video.
As a result of the attack, the unidentified deputy was transported to Tampa Gen- eral Hospital. He suffered from bruising, swelling, and lacerations, police said.
Gabriel is now facing the additional felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and battery by a de- tained person. Gabriel is being held without bond.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the victim previously lived at the residence and had returned to collect his personal be- longings. While at the resi- dence, the victim became engaged in an altercation with another man, later iden-
tified as Caldon Travis King, Jr. King was visiting at the time of the shooting.
At some point during the altercation which took place in the front yard, King re- portedly shot the victim. King remained at the scene and called 9-1-1 after the shooting.
He was arrested during the investigation.
Ybor City Bicyclist Charged With Armed Robbery
With Attacking

      Police arrested a teenager Wednesday night in connec- tion with a series of armed robberies. The crimes all took place in Ybor City.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the first encounter took place last Thursday morning, shortly before 11:30. The victims were leaving the 2nd floor of the Palm Avenue garage when they were approached. The man pointed a handgun at them and demanded prop- erty. The suspect and victim became engaged in a strug- gle, and the suspect fled on a bicycle.
Around 9:30 p.m., that same day, a man was riding a bicycle near E. 7th Avenue and N. 19th Street, when he followed the victims as the walked through a parking lot. The man demanded their property.

lets, cell phones, and various credit cards.
The following day, around 9:40 p.m., a victim was at the intersection of E. 7th Avenue and N. 20th Street, when the suspect rode by on a gas- powered mini bike and snatched the woman’s purse from her hands. The purse was later recovered.
Detectives utilized video from surveillance cameras in the area and fingerprints col- lected from recovered prop- erty to identify the suspect as

When officers ar-
rived at his home, they dis- covered a mini bike outside. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a pair of air pods that were taken dur- ing the second robbery. Offi- cers also located a firearm and clothing worn during all three of the robberies. They also recovered additional property.
Jones was charged with 2 counts of armed robbery, 2 counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, 1 count of carrying a concealed firearm, grand theft, and rob- bery by sudden snatching.
