MRS. JESSIE MAE BASS
Homegoing service for Mrs. Jessie Mae Bass who passed on Monday, August 15, 2016, will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Pastor Eu- gene Brown, officiating.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Hillman and Lucille Newton Wheeler; hus- band, Willie Bass; and daugh- ters, Helen and Joyce.
Mrs. Jessie Mae leaves to cherish fond memories of her with: children, Robert Wheeler, Gwendolyn Sneed, Rose Mary Bell and Leroy Bell, Jr.; her grandchildren, Delphine, Sonia, Lloyd, Steve, Jack, Noah, Yohance, Eric, Willie, Fred, Bridgette, Candace, Jada and Leroy; a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchil- dren; sister-in-law, Lola Blan- chard; sons-in-law, Noah Wallace and Ernest Rogers (Verdell); grand daughter-in- law, Helen Belmer; devoted family and friends including, Pamela Jackson, and other rel- atives and friends.
Mrs. Jessie Mae Bass was born in Waycross, Georgia on November 5, 1922 to the parent- age of Hillman Wheeler and Lu- cille Newton Wheeler. She attended schools in Georgia and Tampa, She was well known in the community for her cooking and baking skills, as well as her big heart. Mrs. Bass was joined in holy matri- mony to Willie Bass for over 30 years. She retired from the Railroad in 1984.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, August 18, 2016, from5t07p.m.atWilsonFu- neral Home with the family re- ceiving friends in the chapel from 6 – 7 p. m. Friends are asked to assemble at the fu- neral home on Friday at ap- proximately 1:45 p. m. for the service.

MR. SAMUEL WALTER ANTHONY, JR.
Mr. Samuel Walter Anthony, Jr. of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, August 20, at 11 a. m. at Beulah Baptist Institu- tional Church of Tampa, 1006 W. Cypress Street, Reverend Dr. W. James Favorite, Pastor, with Reverend T. D. Leonard, Pastor of Mount Tabor M. B. Church, officiating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Anthony was a resident of Asbury Park and Neptune, New Jersey, for 25 years and a resident and native of the Tampa Bay Area for 28 years. He at- tended Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School in Tampa. He was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church and was employed as an Inventory/Records Clerk at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, where he retired in 2008.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Samuel Walter Anthony, Sr.; and step- mother, Juanita; stepfather, Charles Franklin; three siblings, Dr. Bakhitah Abdul-Ra’uf, Car- los Anthony and Chloe Oglesby; two sons, Samuel Anthony, III, of Seattle, Washington and Christopher Anthony of Gallup, New Mexico; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, August 19, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, owners.
MRS. VALERIE ELAINE BEASLEY CORBETT
Mrs. Valerie Elaine Beasley Corbett of Tampa passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, August 20, at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Me- morial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Pastor Donald Lott, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Corbett was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa until she relocated to Tallahas- see, FL, 7 years ago. She was educated by the Public Schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Plant High School. Mrs. Corbett loved to have fun and she enjoyed life.
She was preceded in death by her: father, James Beasley and brother, Christopher Beasley.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Terry Corbett; mother, Dora Henry and husband Marcellus; chil- dren, Raven Roberts, Bruce Crawford (LaKeisha Williams), Kojuanji Tennell, Whitney Bean and Renee Bean; grandchildren, Jada Gonzalez, Qiel Jones, and Caleb Lewis; brothers, James Beasley, Glenn Beasley, Ronald Beasley and wife, Trina and Donald Beasley and wife, Mary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrowing relatives and friends.

MR. FRANK L. MCKENZIE
Mr. Frank L. McKenzie of Tampa passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Au- gust 20, at 11 a. m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 4202 W. Nassau Street, Reverend Dr. Linda C. Reese, Pastor, with Rev- erend Nathaniel Kelly, officiating.
Mr. McKenzie was a native of Plant City, FL and a resident of the Tampa Bay area for 60 years. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County, Plant City, FL and after graduation he en- listed into the United States Army. Frank enjoyed watching football and baseball. He was a big Tampa Bay Bucs and Tampa Bay Rays fan. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie and Catherine McKenzie; brother, Willie James McKenzie; sisters, Dorothy Cooper and Phelvia Williams; son, Frank McKenzie Jr., and wife, Betty McKenzie.
Frank leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Rudine Gillery (Mark); son, Roger McKenzie; stepdaughter, Zell- wanda; stepsons, Greg and Michael; dear and loving grand- children; sisters, Johnnie Mae Johnson, Shirley Fason (James), Evelyn Gant, Jeanette Rice and Twanda Andrades; brothers, Cur- tis and Adam “Pop” McKenzie; stepsisters, Willie Jane Gillette, Lois, Alma and Pearl; step- brother, Kenny Holt; loving nieces and nephews; best friends, Mo and Donna; cousins and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

MRS. BARBARA ANN EDMONDS
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Barbara Ann Edmonds, who was called to the Father’s house on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, to receive her Heavenly reward, will be held at Bethel A. M. E. Church, 5001 Cumberland Dr., Tampa, on Saturday, Au- gust 20, 2016, at 11 a. m. with Pastor Bobby Jacobs, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Horace (Monte) Edmonds; daughter, Sheila Cole; sons, Willis and Michael Cole; sister, Betty Jean Gam- brell Fennell and brothers, El Marvin, Robert and Don Gam- brell.
Mrs. Edmonds leaves be- hind to cherish precious memo- ries of her with: daughter, Cheryl Cole; four sons, Alphonso (Ophelia) Ball, El Marvin Cole, Mark Cole and Daryl Edmonds; raised as a daughter, Stacey Cole; a host of grandchildren, great grandchil- dren, great-great grandchil- dren; two sisters, Rose Pearl (Cordell) Jones and Brenda Gail Hayes; three brothers, Roscoe, Christopher and Carlton Gam- brell; aunt, Ollie Mae Blanchett; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in- law, Barbara Cole, Tracey Cole and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Barbara Ann Edmonds, born in Tampa on May 7, 1935, was the second daughter, and was born to the parentage of the late Roscoe and Alma Gambrell. Barbara attended public schools in Hillsborough County. She married, and nurtured eight beautiful children. Barbara will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother. She cher- ished her career as a homemaker for her family. She taught everyone how to love and how to get along as a family. She was strongly rooted in fam- ily traditions and all those who came to her house empty and hungry - left happy and full.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, August 19, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL, from 5 – 8 p. m. Friends are asked to assem- ble at the church at approxi- mately 10:45 a. m. on Saturday for the service.
