Functions in Honour of Mick
Mick was also ‘Guest of Honour’ at a formal dinner at Dromoland Castle on 12th April.
The dinner was hosted by the Board of Directors and Senior Ei Staff
A special ‘This is your Life’ gala employee function in honour of Mick
was held at the Inn at Dromoland in March. Up to 300 attended, and the
atmosphere positively buzzed all night. James Sexton, as usual, provided
the entertainment, for what was one of the most enjoyable nights!
Marty Morrissey was the MC and Marty and Mick engaged in an
enjoyable on-stage ‘chat’. Surprise revelation of the ‘chat’ was that
Marty was actually a Corkman---born in Mallow, which of course is
Mick’s hometown! Mick enjoyed that one!
Mick’s 2 co-founders of Ei, Mike Byrne and Jim Duignan joined Mick on stage and
presented him with a bronze replica of his famous Electron of January 1988 in which
he prophetically stated ‘’I am confident that we can build a successful indigenous
Irish-owned Company, trading on International markets’’
