• We finalized the design of our new warehouse in 2024 and received full
planning permission, we made significant changes to the design to add in offices
to the front of the building, while this pushed the program out considerably it
certainly was the right decision.
• The new warehouse will consist of over 5000 pallet spaces, multi-level
mezzanine floors for light storage, separate battery storage for additional fire
protection and new man-up guided forklifts for pallet retrieval. The front offices
will consist of three floors with multiuse office areas.
• In 2024 we faced many challenges on Project Reset from sound output and
heat detection on the product design side to automated plastic assembly
design challenges on the process side. On all occasions the design, test and
process engineering teams always pushed through and found solutions, a
testament to their dedication and hard work on this project.
• We are pushing the limits to ensure we have a stepped change both the
product and process that will stand to us for the next 10-15 years.
• We have now submitted the Ei4000 Series into BSI for product
approval. Given the complexity of this new product range, we expect
the approval process to take 9-10 months.
• We are currently working on three separate patents relating to the work
completed on project reset which includes some innovative features such as:
-
5 Sensors in one alarm. (Smoke, Heat, CO, Temp-Humidity, CO2)
-
Integrated RF
-
New “Push Wire” mounting plate design
-
RadioLink 2
-
More robust Comms system
-
Silent Piezo Check- Adds to “Remote Monitoring Suite”
-
Major Sustainability credentials: “Eco Range”
-
60% Lower power consumption (saving over 500T/ Co2/year)
-
20 % Lower energy used to manufacture
-
15% Reduction in plastic used in product
-
No labels used on product resulting is 2000kg of paper / year saved
-
Designed for Recyclability. (PCB, Battery, Plastic)

• While we originally planned to
have our first cell completed by
the end of 2024, challenges in the
design of the Ei4000 Series led to
delays in realizing the plan. The
Automation team however used this
time to further enhance the design
concept of the cell and devised a
revised automated concept for the
plastic assembly operation that is
more cost effective and will result
in a smoother process flow. The
first cell is over 60% complete
with ongoing work on the plastic
assembly and thermistor modules.
