2025 Outlook
New RadioLINK2 Bluetooth install
•
Collaborative research between Ei and UL/LERO into TEC
devices and technologies underway.
•
Data from the research will aid Ei in the design and development
of new TEC devices and technologies, with the end-user being
kept in mind.
•
Focus is on exploring current assistive devices, such as panic
buttons, pendants etc., and exploring new technologies going into
the future.
•
Workshops being conducted with Ei Engineers to gain insight
into the perceived ideas of developers on the needs of TEC device
users and factors that affect the acceptance, adoption and use of
devices.
•
First conference paper from the research, “User and Developer
Perspectives of Technology Enabled Care – Initial Findings
from Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) and Expert
Panel Workshop Studies”, published and presented for the
HealthINFO conference in Nice, France, November 2024.
•
The research will help project Ei to the forefront of design and
technology in Technology Enabled Care.
•
The RadioLINK2 RF protocol software has been
developed and is being introduced into a series of
products and modules throughout 2025.
•
New features include Bluetooth installation
facilitated via an accessory device such as an
Ei450 or Ei414 and a smartphone app.
•
Scan the QR Code: Start by scanning the QR code
on the Bluetooth-enabled accessory device and pair it
with your phone.
•
Scan Other Units: Scan QR code on all other units
in the system and fill in their locations.
•
House code via app: Once all units are scanned,
the system will automatically house code.
•
Generate Installation Report: With the press
of a button, installer can generate a complete
installation report.
•
Live system status: A live system status can be
downloaded using the smartphone.
•
2025 is to be a year of delivery for the engineering team after a
year of development throughout 2024.
•
Release of new RadioLINK2 devices into the market.
•
New 600MRF module for ease of manufacturing with a PCB trace
antenna.
•
New Ei450 and Ei414 devices which can accommodate Bluetooth
install.
•
Release of initial TEC offering, panic buttons and pendants.
•
First releases of products from the innovations team with a
Universal Switch Input device and a pipe temperature clamp,
both developed off the existing environmental sensor PCB and
housing.
•
Release of the new Ei6500 device with on board RF, simplifying
the manufacturing process.
•
Release of new low voltage 3000 series for integration with
Brooks panel.
•
