All Ireland & Liam McCarthy Cup
The All Ireland Senior Hurling Final was held on 21st July,
with Clare and Cork in the Final. It was a thrilling Final and
high-scoring with Clare emerging the winners after extra time on
the Scoreline Clare 3-29, Cork 1-34.
Thus the Banner won the Liam McCarthy Cup for the 5th time in their
history, with previous wins in 1914, 1995, 1997 and 2013.
There was great banter in the factory, leading up to the game with the
few ‘Rebels’ (Cork) greatly out-numbered!
And a few weeks after the final, the Clare Manager, Brian Lohan
and Banner Supporters got to get photos taken with Liam!
