Retirements
Imelda Duffy took early retirement in
May this year. Imelda had a long and very
successful career in Ei, joining in September
1988 as Personnel/HR Officer, before moving to
Purchasing (now known as Supply Chain) in the
same year. When she married, Imelda and Luke,
her husband went to live and work in Botswana
in 1990. She re-joined in 1991 and held the title
of Senior Buyer up to the time of her retirement.
Imelda worked closely with Manufacturing and
R&D over the years and was much respected for
her knowledge of Components and Suppliers.
We wish Imelda a long, happy and healthy
retirement.
Giles Dawson worked on contract for
Ei for several years before joining the
Company in May 2012 as IT Manager,
a role he filled until ill-health caused
him to stop working in 2020.
Giles, who has a BA in Humanities
from ECHE London, worked for UK
Dept. of Education as IT specialist
from 1984 to 1999 before coming to
Ireland to joining BSM as a Technical
Consultant.
Known for his sharp wit, and very
much respected by his work colleagues,
Giles retired on 16th October 2025.
We wish Giles a long, happy and
healthy retirement.
Mary worked on Evening Shift
during her 10+ years at Ei.
Mary started on the 4th
December 2013 and retired on
the 19th July 2024.
We wish Mary a long, happy
& healthy retirement.
