Incubator Objective – Increase supplier success by providing them with skills, equipment and training that have real applications in the market. This includes providing them access to funders, VCs and supply chain managers. Provide them with opportunities to progress to supply chain, providing specialised technology services targeting reduction of operational costs. Ensure access to market by integrating the suppliers into other development programs from other industries.
4IR Incubator Approach – The approach is to link to the customer strategy and operations targeting the development of prototypes and services to increase performance and reduce costs. The approach is to increase sales for customer and supplier by targeting the development of new services and new technology,
Incubator Strategic partners – The program partners with technology specific partners to ensure integration of technology, skills transfer, additional market opportunities. These partners include Vodacom, SqwidNet, SAP and Schneider Electronics.
4IR Incubator Results – 120 suppliers developed targeting IoT, 40 graduated, 15 new ventures created, 89% graduation, POC. We have been running the incubator for two years and have increased success and impact not only of the supplier but the customers themselves.
