The deficiencies/irregularities noticed during safety inspections
by safety branch are being uploaded in SIMS inspection module
and its compliance are being monitored by safety branch and
resolving the issues in SIMS.
New initiative taken- Daily one G&SR rule is being messaged to
all safety category staff CUG phone numbers.
Monitoring the counselling of TM operators at specified intervals
to update their knowledge by CLIs at every crew depot, where
these staff is working and as directed by SSE/TM/in charge.
HAND BOOK ON SIGNAL LOCATIONS OF ALL SECTIONS WORKED
BY SC DIVISION CREW INCLUDING ADJACENT DIVISIONS WITH
SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON RHS LOCATIONS ISSUED TO ALL CREW.
Google forms created and link shared to all Supervisors of Engg,
S&T and TrD branches to fill the forms pertaining to joint
inspection of points and crossing, Track circuits and OHE bonds
station wise.
d. STEPS TAKEN TO PREVENT FIRE ACCIDENTS: Intensive safety
checks are being conducted on aspects such as:
• Intensive publicity campaigns to prevent the travelling public
from carriage of inflammable goods are regularly undertaken.
• Checks for prevention of carrying explosives, dangerous
inflammable articles, crackers, gas cylinders, dry grass leaves,
acids, corrosive substances by passengers, or booked as
parcels.
• Checks on safety provisions in gas operated cooking
arrangements in pantry car.
• Checks on unauthorized hawkers and vendors using Sigris and
Stoves on trains.
• Provision of fire extinguishers in Locos, SLRs, Pantry cars and AC
Coaches and their working condition..
• Joint surprise checks at stations of luggage and parcels for
inflammable material by Railway officials in co-ordination with
GRP and RPF and Commercial staff.
• Alertness on the part of station staff, cabin staff, gateman and
running staff for exchanging ‘all right’ signals for safe passage of
trains.
