Brothers of the Michigan District,
It is an honor to welcome you to the 2021 Michigan District Conference.
I want to thank Brother Lindsey Williams and the entire Michigan District Team for guiding the ship during this tumultuous time. With every day being one of uncertainty, it is refreshing to know that we have leadership who has the best interest of the brothers in mind.
I want to also commend Rho Delta and Iota Chi Lambda for preparing the brothers of Michigan for what I know will be a successful conference. Additionally, congratulations to Iota Chi Lambda for 50 years of developing leaders, promoting brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy to the community.
The theme of the Michigan District Conference, 21st Century Reconstruction – Alpha Edition is one that resonates with me to the very core as the pandemics of COVID-19 and racism has placed Alpha in a position where it must rebuild to face the challenges of today. Admitting that this process must occur is the first step to a rebirth that will be a sight to behold.
The future of this region is dependent on the success of the Michigan District. I know the workshops and sessions prepared for this weekend will position the brothers for continued success.
Finally, I look forward to seeing all of you in Kansas City, MO, April 26 – May 1, 2022, for 90th Annual Midwestern Regional Convention where we will be Continuing Alpha’s Celebration of Brotherhood and Excellence
