ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION
Dr. Kelli Baker is not new to Mott. She began as a part-time faculty within our Physical Therapist Assistant program and has been selected for a full-time faculty position. Kelli graduated from the PTA program at Mott and has her PhD in Physical Therapy with the University of Michigan. She has worked is a PTA with McLaren Flint, and as a Senior Physical Therapist at McLaren Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute. Happy to have you onboard full-time!
HUMANITIES DIVISION
Josh a D gas is the Peer Tutoring Coordinator. Prior to Mott, Josh spent about 12 years with Baker College, working as a Writing Center Coordinator and Tutor, Learning Center Coordinator, Director of Writing and Communication Program, and he taught there as well. He has a Master’s in Rhetoric & Composition from the University of Michigan – Flint and is a self-proclaimed, big fan of University of Michigan football and Detroit Red Wings hockey... and of course, now the Mott Bears! Welcome, Josh!
FINE ARTS & SOCIAL SCIENCES DIVISION
Mark Petricca is a new full-time faculty member in Sociology. Mark obtained his Master’s degree in Sociology from Eastern Michigan University. He started as a part-time instructor at Mott and has experience teaching the English language to international students. Mark often challenges his students to think “outside of the box” and realize “everything is not always as it seems!” Congrats on your full-time role!
SCIENCE & MATH DIVISION
Mike Filipski is a new Full-time Instructor of Mathematics. He is moving from New York, where he was employed as a Full-Time Lecturer for SUNY College at Bufalo. Mike was also an Adjunct Instructor for the University at Bufalo, which is where he earned his Master’s degree in Mathematics. In addition to his teaching, Mike has been highly active in student advising. We are happy to welcome Mike to both Mott and the greater Flint area as a whole!
