AfroPunk FestIival 2019
Overview
AfroPunk Festival 2019 is the intersection of fashion,
music, art, social engagement, lifestyle and social
consciousness, supporting global initiatives through
music and culture across the African Diaspora. In its
16 th year, the festival will be held August 24-25,
2019, at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, NY.
The festival will focus on Activism Row as an
interactive, educational, site-specific installation
featuring grassroots and non-profit organizations
that solve urgent community problems. Activism
Row is an opportunity for young people to be
informed about different civic participation. It also
encourages festival-goers to make a difference in
their community (and the world) by supporting
social innovations.
