the millions, so that it is still the world`s most read book, and the
Gospel is being preached around the world.
Wycliffe Bible Translators advise that at least 3350 languages
have the Bible in some form. With there being an estimated 6500
languages in the world, we are over halfway there, and that
includes all of the most widely spoken languages. Although at last
1.5 billion people do not have the full Bible available in their first
language, over 700 million of these have the New Testament -
others have portions or at least some level of translation or
preparatory work begun. There is a known active translation and/or
linguistic development happening in 2658 languages across more
than 170 countries.
What does the bible tell us? Proverbs 29 verse 25 states “Fear
lays a snare for man, but those who trust in the Lord will be safe”.
So let us lift our heads and our hearts to the Lord, the Sovereign
God who created this incredible universe, and rules and overrules in
everything. Satan`s time on earth is decreasing and the ultimate
victory is the Lord`s. Let us rejoice and be glad in our Sovereign,
Almighty God.
Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and He will return in
glory, at the head of His heavenly army, to bring an end to all evil.
God`s victory is assured - hallelujah.
Please remember to pray for missionaries. Please pray especially
for those who are working far from their home country and live in
very different cultures; far from family members; with people who
speak different languages. Many missionaries and local Christians
are unable to openly celebrate Christian holy days, and apart from
worship of Jesus. The likes of Christmas Day and Easter are just
another day in those countries calendars.
