Automated Email Alerts
o When a file is created (Alert: Owner)
o When a file is imported - Single email for multiple files (Alert: Owner)

NOTE: Emails received will contain the appropriate information as well as a link
to the associated file. Users will open the associated file by clicking a link
contained in the email. However, as the initial release will not include single sign
on, the user will be requested to sign in before being taken directly the DAC6 file.
3.2 Software & Communication Interfaces
SQL Database
Microsoft SQL will be used to store all DAC6 files and associated data which has
been imported / input into the software. To ensure the security of all stored
data, each instance of the software will maintain a separate database, and data
will be stored and retrieved using SQL queries via a secure connection string.
User Access
Access to the software, via the user’s browser, will be performed over SSL using
TLS 1.2 via a certified SSL Certificate.
Local Authority Reporting
DAC6 files that include hallmarks that are required to be reported, will be
automatically sent to the chosen local authority over a secure connection.
Hallmarks will only be reported if they meet the following criteria:
Reporting Criteria
o Hallmark is Signed off
o Privilege is Signed off
o Reporting grace period has expired
