Prayer B o ok
We are aware that we are responsible
as irresponsible inhabitants of the earth,
polluting and warming it
through over-industrialization,
our disagreements, our evils, and our wars.
And now we compete to see who will be
the first to go to the Moon,
to spread our destructive disease
to other parts of Your universe as well.
Oh, detestable race of humans!
Oh, disgusting beasts that produce
a culture of perversion and destruction.
Lord,
we know that despite all this,
You love us passionately
and do not regret it,
no matter what You endure because of us.
We beseech You, send us worthy spiritual leaders
to lead us to conversion,
to denounce wickedness
and inspire us to regain lost unity.
To unite the nations with the love we lack.
To teach us unity and love.
To lead us to common decisions
that will be adhered to(!)
before the destructions become irreversible.
